Haru growled as he was forcibly Teleported with Doug. Tch...this was frustrating. He hated it when Doug got the better of him. Well, he hated when ANYBODY got the better of him, but it was so much worse when Doug or Vito were involved, since they seemed so good at doing it. "Like I have a choice." he growled in anger at the Abra. He was still being held in place by his Levitate after all. Besides, even if he could leave, and if he had wanted to leave, where would he go? This was his trailer after all.
Jet reached the other side of the trailer and looked around. No sign of anybody. But, this was too important to just let go. He KNEW he saw movement somewhere. And odds had it that it wasn't just another passer-by. Not at this time of night. So then, if he wasn't on this side, nor on the other side...then if somebody really is here, then they must have found a hiding spot of some sort. But just where could they be? There wasn't anything close enough to the trailer to hide behind. That left four options. He looked at the trailer and saw a vent. However, there were no marks on it, meaning there were no signs that it had been forced open and replaced. That took out one of the possibilities. That only left....
"Huh...?" Jet muttered as he heard Doug call out to him. "O-oh, I'm back here...!" he called back, looking over and seeing Doug step out from the other side of the trailer. Obviously, he didn't find anybody over there. So that took out another possibility. "Where's Haru...? Still in the trailer...?" He needed to hold his ground here. If this other guy was hiding somewhere around here, he needed to be sure that he didn't have a spot to escape from.

"No, I left him hanging outside of his front door. I just thought I would come out to check up on you. Is something the matter?" Doug asked, relieved to have found the Buizel without much trouble. He didn't feel it was a good idea to say that mind reading shenanigans were involved. Especially if Jet felt he was being followed... but to Doug it looked more like Jet was looking for someone himself.

Jet listened to Doug's words. So he had been up front after all? That settled it. There were only two more places to check. And they both needed to be checked simultaneously, or else it would leave a window of escape for anybody who might still be here. It was perfect that his friend happened to come out here. He didn't bother to ask why Doug had come out...he figured it was his mind-reading abilities. And it wasn't a good idea to talk about that within earshot of others. But first, Doug needed to be briefed. And so, he talked quickly, but clearly. He made sure to keep his statements brief, but to the point. He told Doug of the situation and of his suspicions.
"So, there's only two places left that I haven't been able to check." Jet said after finishing up his explanation. "...So I need you to Teleport to the front of the roof and make sure nobody climbed up there. I say the front because we don't need him crawling off if he's underneath. And from the roof, you should be able to keep an eye on all sides of the trailer." He looked down under the trailer to the blackness. There was no way he could see anything down there, but that shouldn't be too much of an issue. Plus, he already had a suspicion as to who this mystery person was...if there was one here, of course. He was certain that Doug thought the same.

"The... the roof? Uh... o... okay." Doug was a little confused by this. He wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but he had a hunch. He teleported up to the roof, and was met by... no-one. "Nothing up here." He yelled back to Jet. He couldn't really see all four sides of the trailer, but he would be able to spot anyone who was trying to run away, given they didn't hide themselves behind another trailer or tent too quickly.
-------------
The clone heard the Buizels plan from under the trailer. Heh. Good luck, kid. I don't have to get out of here without being seen. I just have to get out of here without getting caught. He could accomplish this easily. He found another gap in the sheet metal on the front side of the trailer and got to work shimmying out of it. However, halfway through, his waist got stuck, and his arms were trapped in the opening as well. Leaving him unable to do much other than squirm. "Damn it all." He muttered, looking around for something, anything that could help him out of this little setback. Then he noticed the Lucario, hovering maybe ten feet away. "Damn it, damn it, damn it!" He said, slamming his head against the ground repetitively.

Jet nodded. That was good. The moment Doug Teleported to the roof, he dropped to the ground on his stomach and looked underneath the house. There wasn't much he could see down there. But that was alright. He had a way of...flushing anybody out who was down there. He smirked a bit...of course, this could all be fruitless if there was nobody here and it was just his imagination. But it was worth the risk.
At least, that's what Jet thought. But then he heard it. An all-too-familiar voice and then a constant thud-like sound. Jet couldn't help but smile a bit. He had been right. "Alright Doug, pay careful attention. I'm gonna flush him out, and I need you to be ready when I do." He said. "I need you to Teleport and grab him the moment he comes out. Before he can hurt himself. This might be the real one, or it might be a clone...but if we want any information, we have to keep him from making himself disappear."
He didn't wait for a confirmation. He brought his paws together and formed a small vortext between them. He threw it so that it would go underneath the trailer. The Whirlpool started to grow, and soon enough, a torrent of water was gushing out of the bottom of the trailer on all sides with quite a bit of force. Hopefully, it would be enough to force the Weavile out of his little "hiding spot."
Haru had no idea what was going on at this point. He heard the Buizel's plan, even from this distance thanks to his hearing abilities. But what the hell was going was somethign else entirely. "Grrrr...I can't stand...all of them." he growled.

Vito, in the midst of slamming his head against the ground, suddenly found himself hearing the sounds of running water. Oh damn it. If someone disconnected the waste tank on this thing, I'm going to LITERALLY be in deep sh-, thankfully, before he could finish the thought, Vito found himself being shot out from under the trailer by a stream of water. He shot forward a few feet before finding himself being lifted off the ground in a similar manner to the way he had seen the Lucario floating before.
----------
Doug, upon seeing the Weavile, threw his hand out and caught him in his Levitation before he had a chance to move. He didn't need to use his hand to aim his levitation. he only needed his mind, but he had found that matching what he was doing with his mind using his body helped his focus and allowed him to control things much faster. The downside being that his opponents would be able to tell what he was trying to do if they watched his movements. "I got him. He's not going anywhere," he yelled back to Jet. Now he just needed to get back to what he was doing with Haru... if that was possible anymore. Ugh. So much to do before bed.

Jet couldn't help but grin. Perfect. He can't believe that it actually worked out. he stepped out from behind the trailer and looked at the floating Haru and Vito. "L-looks like we got you this time." he said. He was still smiling. "...But Doug, if it'll help you concentrate, I think you can let Haru go...we can always talk later if he goes anywhere. Now that we've got Vito, I don't think he'll do anything...he wants him just as much as we do, after all."
Haru grumbled. Great. Now the Buizel was trying to help him out. "I don't need your help, you little runt." he growled. "I can get out myself."
"Well if you break Vito's concentration on you, then he will probably lose his concentration on Vito...and you'll lose your one shot at getting back at him." Jet countered. He had already been prepared for Haru's interjection. It was pretty easy to predict. Haru had a one-track mind.
Haru knew that Jet was right, but that didn't mean he had to like it. He grumbled and crossed his arms, looking away.
Jet nodded. "Alright then...who should we question first, Doug?" he asked. There was so much that needed to be ask. And now that they had captured Vito, or at least one of the clones, things would hopefully start to reveal themselves. Of coure, he knew that it was going to be almost impossible to get something out of Vito. But hey, it was worth trying, right?

"Well there isn't much point in keeping Haru around. Seeing Vito here, he's probably as aware of the situation as he can be. Besides, we can't really continue our conversations freely while Vito has a presence, obviously." Doug said, purposely alluding to the idea that they were definitely hiding something from Vito. Hoping to both keep Haru on his guard, and bait Vito into investigating Doug himself more heavily. It was a gambit he was willing to take.
Doug immediately dropped Haru. If he didn't want help, he sure wouldn't get it in the form of Doug using his Levitation to ease his descent.
"But as far as this one goes," Doug said indicating Vito, "Well, what can we really get out of him? We don't even know what he's up to, really. Telling us why you were snooping around this particular trailer would be a good start, I suppose."
The Weavile attempted to think up a lie. Even one that wasn't believable at all. Something that would stall just long enough fo-
At that very moment, an Ice Shard was stopped just before it would have wedged itself in between the clones eyes. Now suspended just in front of the Weaviles face.
Another clone, was the first thought that went through Doug's mind, as soon as he had stopped the shard with his levitation. Of course. Vito wouldn't risk a situation like this happening if he was worth his salt as a thief. Luckily he had managed to see this one coming just in time. He hadn't really felt much of a hostile feeling in the air until just before the attack. He had gotten lucky. He dropped the Ice Shard, and it fell to the ground, breaking in two. Not much I can do about this. Even if I do locate this one, there may be a third. Perhaps there was a third who would alert others to this position if I managed to capture the second one as well. Perhaps they're are hundreds of them already around the festival grounds, all ready to close in on this location if necessary. It was beginning to dawn on Doug just how hopeless his situation was. Then another thought came to Doug.
All according to plan.
Doug's eyes widened for just a moment before he was able to regain his composure. What plan? Whose plan? Doug didn't really have to ask. Who did he just establish held all the cards in this situation?
What was the real plan here? To get caught, hoping to give Doug a sense of comfort in his ability to handle Vito, only to shatter it by making it painfully aware that Doug had no chance of dealing with the Weavile? Did Vito want him to forfeit a second time? Was Vito hoping he could bypass Doug without having to show off any more of his abilities than he had already shown? That must be it. To get the upper hand over his opponents by not having to show off what he could do allowing him to watch his opponents.
"Well, it's not going to work." Doug finally said aloud. Unaware of how this made little sense in the context of what was going on. "I'm going to fight you tomorrow, Vito. And I can assure you that you won't walk away from this fight unscathed." Ick. There's another word I haven't used in over two-hundred years... and I should have kept it that way.

As Haru suddenly felt the Levitation drop from him, he fell to the ground. Thankfully, his natural reflexes kicked in, and he managed to land on his feet, avoiding a rather embarrassing drop. He grumbled and crossed his arms, but didn't move. Now he was too curious. He didn't care one way or the other about Jet or Doug. But seeing Vito was now involved in this in some way intrigued him. And he wanted to watch what was going on. So he's going to fight Vito tomorrow, huh? Heheh...good luck. He has you out-matched in almost every way, Doug...it's almost unfair. He has you thoroughly outclassed simply due to natural advantages. He couldn't help but smirk a bit at the thought. If Doug was going to get himself beaten up tomorrow...well, that was just something he wouldn't miss for the world.
Jet looked at Doug, a look of confusion on his face. He had watched what was going on, and he had caught a glimpse of the Ice Shard just before it hit. Jet thought about it, and in the end came up with a similar logical deduction. This was a clone, and that there was no telling just how many others Vito had prepared. Although, due to the sheer amount of energy it requires to create these Clones, and due to a living being's natural requirement for sleep, surely there couldn't be that many wandering around the grounds, let alone in a position to be focusing on this one position.
Jet had come to a simple conclusion. If Doug moved the conversation inside and he himself maintained his lookout duty, then that was the best they could hope for. But then Doug started talking again. And that was what caused the aforementioned look of confusion. What was he talking about? But, he made sure that he didn't show his fear for Doug's situation on his face. He knew that Vito needed to believe they weren't afraid. If they weren't afraid, then it might imply that they had something up their sleeves, even if they didn't really.
But in reality, Jet really wasn't sure if Doug could follow up on his statement. After all, Vito had so many advantages over Doug. Well...he just had to believe that Doug knew what he was getting himself into here.

The two Vito clones, as well as a third one hidden elsewhere were all thinking the same thing at this point. Either this one is shockingly good at deductive reasoning, or something is seriously up with this guy. It didn't matter what happened at this point. Their goal was accomplished. Set up the situation, get a reaction, take notes. Done, done, and done.
Doug was flustered at this point. He couldn't deal with this. Any of it. He couldn't get rid of the clones, he couldn't figure out what to do tomorrow, and he couldn't come to grips with it either. He dropped the Vito clone. "We're done here. Tell Vito to keep his clones away from me for the night," he requested, knowing full well they wouldn't comply, "Jet, we're outta here. Let's go." Doug was already starting to walk away. What else was there to do? Anything he could have said or asked in that situation didn't matter anymore. He knew what he had to do tomorrow and how unlikely it would be that he could pull it off. Or even come close. If he couldn't even come close, it didn't matter anymore.

Jet glanced over at Doug as he dropped the Vito clone. What was he doing...? They had already come this far and gone through so much of this...he was just going to go ahead and drop everything and just walk away like that? "B-but, Doug...." he started to protest. But then he ended up sighing and starting to follow behind him without a word. He supposed Doug must have something on his mind right now, and if he was too preoccupied, he guessed that he wouldn't be able to really accomplish much.
He hated the idea of giving Vito exactly what he wanted. And apart from that, the two of them didn't get a single bit of information from Vito or Haru, save for the fact that Vito and Haru have been in contact before, during the tournament, and confirmation that Vito was investigating everybody he could. Or at least, he figured that that was what could be assumed.
Haru watched Jet and Doug start to walk away, and he couldn't help but smirk a bit. Oh, he was going to enjoy tomorrow. Of that he was sure. Not only did he get to fight Jaer, the Gym Leader he remembered seeing during his Poison Gym challenge tomorrow, but he'd get the chance to see Doug helpless against somebody. He wished it would be somebody but Vito that Doug was helpless against...but he would take what he could get. He smirked a bit and looked at the Vito Clone that he could see. "...I can tell just how many of you there are and where you are, as I'm sure you already know. Now that I know you're here, you can get lost...there's nothing you can do to take me by surprise now." He was referring to his species' ability to sense Aura. Clones all gave off the exact same Aura as the original host. Or at least, he assumed. So they would be easy enough to locate.
To him, he now had something to hold over Vito. He'd just have to play things a bit slower and more carefully now.

---Meanwhile, elsewhere---
Three Vito clones had been tailing the Empoleon for a while now. They still weren't sure what he was up to or if he had any idea they were following him. From what they could gather from every other clone that had been sent to follow Ansgar, he probably knew, and they were aware of this. But they had no idea how he knew. They made sure to keep their distance, and stayed in locations strategically thought to ensure that even if one of them were discovered, the locations of the other two would stay hidden. How much did this guy know? Where did he get this information? How? The fact that these simple questions had remained unanswered for far too long made Vito nervous. Unknowns meant risks. And risks meant potential failures. He had learned this from experience.

Ansgar was able to keep a straight face as he continued making his way through the tents to his own trailer. He couldn't help but find it very intriguing that these Weavile were still tailing him. As if he couldn't have simply figured out Vito's scheme so far. Such a pathetic attempt to gather information. It took plenty of willpower to keep himself from chuckling about it. It was almost cute, that Vito seemed to think he could get the upper hand against him like this.
But in the end, he had a job to do, and he needed to see to it that it was done. He finally arrived at his trailer, by himself, and he opened the door to step inside. He looked up at the wall, where a clock sat. Good, it was almost time. He had enough time to kill...about a minute to let these clones take their positions. He only had one shot at this, so he had to make this count. He raised his arms into the air quietly, and storm clouds started to form outside. Soon enough, a light drizzle began to fall, which was soon to turn into a nice bit of hard rain.
But that was only part one of his plan. He then twisted his arms and brought them down. As he did so, as if on his unseen command, the rain started getting stronger to the point where it was actually beginning to hurt anybody unfortunate enough to be standing within the boundaries of his rainstorm. His Eroding Storm had been successfully pulled off. With this, any clones that weren't under firm cover from above would be neutralized instantly. But on top of that, he had set something up previously, just for this kind of occasion. A trap of sorts.
Within each possible hiding spot around his trailer that could shield somebody from rain, he had taken the liberty of hiding an interesting little technique of his own design. Frozen nearby each of those locations, exposed to the elements was an Ice Pulse, surrounded and trapped by a Bubble and frozen in place with Ice Beam. But all it would take was a slight bit of power to set it off...a virtual time bomb with an explosive impact and an impressive blast radius. It would be sure to wipe out any Clones who were hiding in any of those locations. As far as he was concerned, this was the perfect anti-Clone defense. And it barely took any bit of effort from him to create, set up, and set off.
After utilizing his Eroding Storm, he sat back onto his bed and waited...waited for a certain Roselia to show her face.

The Vito clones surrounded the house from positions they had selected beforehand. They had jack squat on this guy so far. It seemed clones either came back with information that he had simply been wandering around, or they didn't come back at all. The three of them were going to change that. One clone moved in on the trailer, attempting to take a peek in the trailer. However, along the way it started raining. By the time he made it to the trailer, any footholds he had planned on using to climb up were plenty wet. He signaled back to one of the other clones to give him a boost.
And surely enough, one made his way closer to the trailer, but as soon as he stepped out from under the tree he had been hidden under, he poofed into nothingness.
Both of the other clones had seen this and knew immediately what had to be the case. The rain. The rain must have done it somehow. The clone that was still under a tree made sure to stay as close to the trunk as possible, and motioned for the other one to get under the trailer. The other clone looked under the trailer and shook his head in refusal. It only took the first clone a couple seconds to understand why. All he saw was a small flash of light come from under the trailer, and suddenly the rain around the trailer had been frozen, along with the clone, who finally poofed into thin air.
The clone saw other, similar lights in other places. Under trees, other trailers. He couldn't afford to risk checking his own tree. He would likely be hit by the deadly rain. But it wasn't long before he heard a sound... something like a slow cracking... coming from up in the branches of a tree. He saw the same light and then was gone.
----
A few minutes after the rain subsided, Tali was making her way to the trailer. The Empoleon had sent word to her earlier that it was important she meet with him. Something about Vito as far as she could tell. Ansgar seemed like a creep to her, but if he knew something about Vito that she didn't, he had to tell her. It was, like, really important. She knocked on the door of the trailer, making sure to wipe her feet on the welcome mat outside. It was strangely muddy outside of the Empoleons trailer. Perhaps his trailers plumbing hadn't been hooked up properly? Tali shuddered at that thought. If this wasn't so important she would be outraged. But she kept her cool. She needed to know what Ansgar wanted her for.

Ansgar couldn't help but smirk a bit. He normally tried to avoid showing any signs of self-satisfaction, but this time he couldn't help himself. He was impressed with his own set-up. And the sound of the explosions meant that his plan had worked perfectly. And now that there wasn't a single clone around to spy on him, he could wait for his guest without fear. The last thing he needed was for a Vito clone or two to be wandering around to overhear this conversation.
Finally, mere minutes after he stopped his little rainstorm, there was a knock on the door outside. He smirked a bit and made hsi way over to the door. He lowered a fin to it and slowly turned the knob. He pulled the door open and looked down. Sure enough, the Grass Pokemon was there, waiting for him. "Heh...welcome." he said with a slight smile. "Welcome to my little home...Tali, right?" He stepped away from the door and held it open for her. "Please, come on in and have a seat wherever you want." He held a fin outward, gesturing her inside. This should be interesting.

Tali walked in, keeping up her perky visage, and hopped up to a chair that was clearly made for someone larger than herself. "Yes, I heard you had some news for me! I hope this isn't another one of those blackmail things though. Y'know, where you threaten to make up some lie and send it to a tabloid unless I pay you or something silly like that. It's, like, a real downer, y'know? You'd be surprised how often that happens." Tali began to pout her lips and raise one of her eyebrows. She wasn't really sure about this Empoleon. She knew he probably wasn't really up to something like blackmail, but she couldn't help but feel vulnerable. Something about this guy put her on edge.

The Empoleon watched as the Roselia step inside and he closed the door behind her. No need to be ungentlemanly. Especially since he needed her to believe him about this. Of course, when it came to this topic, he had pretty much figured out that she'd believe almost anything. Or at the very least, look into it. That was all he really needed out of her anyway.
"No, no, nothing like that." he said with a slight smile and an amused chuckle. People tend to blackmail her? That could be some useful information at some point in the future. He filed that little factoid away deep in his mind before returning to the conversation. "No, it's something a bit more...up your alley, as it were." he continued. He looked over at a nearby sink where he'd already set up a tea kettle and a fridge sat not too far from that. "Would you like something to drink while you're at it? I don't imagine you'll be here too long, but I figure I may as well ask since you are my guest." His voice seemed to hold quite a bit of respect and...well...kindness, despite who he knew he was dealing with and her rather...annoying obsession.

Something up her alley? He didn't look much like an agent, or a representative of any kind of company she might advertise for. Something was telling Tali she should run. Something told her this guy was trying to use her somehow, and whatever he had to say, she wasn't going to like it.
"No thank you," Tali replied to the offer of tea. With this kind of nutcase, she couldn't be too careful. He could have easily put something in that kettle having prepared it before she had come in. She couldn't exactly run from this guy though. If he honestly was a representative of anything, doing something like that would be really bad PR. Like. Disastrous.
"I guess I'd rather you like, cut to the chase. I mean, it is getting kinda late, and I've still gotta get up early to make sure I look presentable in my match tomorrow. I mean, like, could you imagine if I look like a mess when I smack that birdbrain to the ground tomorrow? People see that stuff and, like... that could be bad."

At her refusal of the tea, Ansgar almost took it personally. He always thought that the way he'd blended his tea was near perfection. To have it discounted without a thought was a bit...insulting.
"Very well then," he said before moving over to the counter and lifting his arms above it. He pulled down a small saucer and a small teacup and set them onto the counter. He then lifted the tea kettle up and poured a bit into it for himself. Well, if his guest wasn't going to drink it, he may as well not let it go to waste.
Ansgar moved over to the bed and sat down on top of that--after all, Tali had jumped right into his favorite chair before hearing out what Tali finally had to say. He couldn't help but utter a slight chuckle at her words.
"My, you certainly seem confident," he said, bringing the cup he held in his right hand to his beak and sipping a bit from it. "Yes, I do imagine that that would be quite a disaster for you. And I know I would quite dislike having to see such a beautiful lady like yourself go through with something like that." At this point, he had been aware that Tali thought extremely highly of herself. Complimenting her and treating her like he would a stereotypical princess was probably the best way to get the desired results.
"And as such, I suppose I should honor your request and get right to the point," Ansgar continued, taking another sip of the tea in his claws before setting it back down on the saucer. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but you have quite the...close ties with this Weavile fellow, Vito Steele, correct?" He asked the question simply and straight-forward. He knew she would prefer a direct questioning rather than beating around the bush, after all.

Tali snapped to attention at the sound of the Weaviles name, and then immediately attempted to return to her previous composure. Failing miserably, of course.
"I... guess y-you could say that," Tali replied. She started to wish she hadn't refused that tea. She could definitely have used a sip or two if for no other reason than to cover up her face at this point. Or just something to do with her hands. She prayed to the creator she wasn't blushing.
The creator probably wasn't paying attention.
"Why? I mean... like... did he say something about me?" Tali said, now failing at acting like she didn't care what the answer was either way.
