In addition to the standard moveset that varies by species, other moves are available based on type and personality. These are called Advanced Moves. A Pokemon can learn a new Advanced move when he/she achieves each interval of P200. A maximum of five Advanced Moves can be available at once - at each subsequent interval (P1200 and up), the Pokemon can choose to replace an old move with a new one.
Each individual has two different sets of moves from which to choose upon leveling up, called Move Pools. When learning a move, a Pokemon can choose from either their Type Pool, available to all Pokemon of the same type, or a Nature Pool, available to all Pokemon of the same personality. Some moves can only be learned when a certain evolutionary stage is reached - these are called first, second, and third-level moves. A first-level move can be learned by any Pokemon, but second and third-level moves are only available after the first and second evolution, respectively.
Pokemon that lack third or even second stages will be able to access second and third level moves upon intervals of P1000, added to the ordinary evolution. (Example: Drowzee, after evolving to Hypno at P1300, can learn third-level moves at P2300. Pachirisu, on the other hand, can learn second-level moves at P1000 and third-level moves at P2000.)
The DN2 Wiki has a list of every Advanced Move accepted to date, as well as individual articles describing them in detail.
