((If you are planning to moderate this thread, please take note that the other character in Spark's biography is intended to be an NPC controlled by the Mod who may make her character any pokemon and have any name they like.))
Spark awoke with his face to the ground. He could feel the grass tickling his face. He pushed himself up so that he could stand and look at his surroundings. From what he could see, he was surrounded by an ocean of grass and trees. He could hear the wind whispering into his ear as if to taunt him. 'How did I get here!?' he thought to himself once he came to his senses. Last thing he could remember was trying to save a girl who was being sucked into some type of vortex, and winded up being sucked in with her. Panicked, he looked around and saw that he was just laying in the shade of a tree. A few feet away from him laid a pokemon. It seemed to be unconscious just like he assumed he was. He started to slowly walk in it's direction.

The Pokemon in question appeared to be an unconscious Lotad. At least, that's what Spark would have thought, untill the approached Pokemon jumped up. "FWWAAAH! What do you want intruder?" The Lotad asked, spinning around to face Spark. "I was just playing dead you know. I just wanted to see what you were going to do. And then...you walked NEAR me." He said, as though Spark had committed a sin or something. Still, the Lotad didn't really act as though he was crazed. If anything, he was just really energetic and apparently quick to pass judgement. The fact that Spark was probably as surprised as he was didn't seem to faze him at all.
The few Pokemon that were wandering by had stopped to watch. The Lotad had made so much noise that a crowd was actually starting to form a ring around the two, with more Pokemon slowly trickling in. It was no wonder. Lotad had a mixture of surprise, disgust and anger on his face; a terrible product of a swift misunderstanding. The Pokemon nearby must have thought he was going to start a fight.

"GYAAH!" Spark yelled out as soon as he heard the Lotad scream and fell backwards in shock. "Wha-wha- Your a Lotad! Why are you talking!? How are you talking!?" Spark blurted out as soon as he heard him talk. His eyes were wide and he was sweating already. Where was he! He noticed the crowd gathering around the two which made him even more uncomfortable. So many questions were running through his head and he had no idea what to do.

Spark's outburst rivaled the Lotad's outburst, and the little dual-typed Pokemon was almost surprised. But he quickly turned his surprise into disgust, finding a new thing to be offended about. "Yes, yes I am a Lotad. Thanks for reminding me, wise-guy!" He yelled back. Lotad was a very angry Pokemon at this point, but he had to admit, this Pichu was just plain weird. Instead of getting offended at the his offensive verbal accusations, which he had expected to happen, the weirdo was just blurting out stupid questions.
The crowd that had formed around them was just as confused. A few Pokemon walked away, disappointed that a fight wasn't going to start up after all. The ones that remained were staring at Sparks in confusion. Why would a Pokemon question why another Pokemon was speaking? It made no sense to them.
'And why is this whack-job blue?' Lotad asked himself when Sparks had finished yelling. Differently colored Pokemon weren't all too uncommon in the dimension, but he had never seen one up close, nevermind understanding why or how it actually happens. "All Pokemon can talk. But you already knew that, didn't you, smart guy?" He answered with a glare.

Spark stood back up after hearing the Lotad's first statement. "No, no! I didn't mean to offend you! I just..." Spark started to reply. He looked around seeing the confusion on the crowd's faces which, of course, made him even more uncomfortable if that was even possible. 'Why can I understand this Pokemon!?' Spark thought to himself when he realized the Lotad seemed larger than normal. He then heard the Lotad speak up again. "Wha-what!? All pokemon can talk!? Then how come I couldn't understan-" Spark started to say as he looked down at himself and to his horror saw blue feet! "What the!?" Spark jumped back in astonishment. He looked around at himself and realized... "I'M A PICHU!?" He screamed out in horror. So many questions were answered. He knew why he could understand the Pokemon, and why everything seemed bigger. But yet more questions arose. Why was he a Pichu? Why is he blue? Where was he? and what does he do!?

If the Lotad could have facepalmed, he would have. "Boy, you must really think you're a funny guy." He mumbled. What did the boy think he was, a Marill? This was beginning to get ridiculous. The overwhelming amount of confusion from the Pichu and the surrounding crowd was starting to melt the Lotad's anger. The only thing that was keeping it in tact was the assumption that Sparks was faking his own confusion. But the more the Lotad talk to him, the less likely that seemed.
Some of the Pokemon in the crowd started to ask each other questions. Most of them were trying to see if anyone had any idea why a Pokemon would act the way the Pichu was acting. But nobody really seemed to have any idea what was up with Sparks, or any way to answer his questions. However, one of the Pokemon, a Bidoof, did approach the two.
"Heyy...I have no idea what you're talking about there, little Pichu. You act like you fell into this world or sumthin'." He laughed, completely disregarding the fact that Sparks probably didn't find this funny at all. "Yup. Your problem sounds big. Big enough so that only a really smart Pokemon could help you. You should go find Sage. Yup."

"You think I'm joking!? I should not be a Pichu right now!" Spark yelled at the Lotad. The Pichu was a human two minutes ago....when he was sucked into a portal. 'Could that vortex have been a portal? Could that portal have possibly turned him into a pokemon?' It all seemed far fetched, but nothing else made any more sense. Spark saw the Bidoof start to approach. 'Oh great.' Spark sarcastically thought thinking he'd have to deal with some other pokemon who just doesn't seem to like him.
He heard the Bidoof mention falling into the world. He listened to the Bidoof's second remark. Was this Sage a joke too? He decided to go ahead and try and clear up any confusion as best he could. "Well, I'm thinking I really did fall into this world." He spoke up in reply to the Bidoof's joke. "I was a human a few minutes ago. But the last thing I could remember was being sucked into a portal. Then I woke up here as a Pichu. Wherever this is." He finished. "So who is this Sage you're talking about?" He asked after he told his story. He was real anxious to get to this sage.

The crowd, which must have been made up of the dimension's nosiest Pokemon since they were still there, just kind of stared at Spark now. One of the Pokemon, a very young looking Pidgey, spoke up. "What are you supposed to be mister? Are you supposed to be a different Pokemon?" She chirped, but was soon hushed up by her mom, whom was standing next to her. "I'm afraid I don't understand what you're talking about little buddy. Yep yep. You're more confusing then a...a...Girafarig." As soon as Bidoof had finished saying that, someone yelled from the back of the crowd. "HEY! I resent that..." No doubt there was a Girafarig in the crowd. "Sorry Greg!"
The group of Pokemon listened to Spark's story, but it only made them more confused. This Pichu had to be joking...he just had to be. It was that or he needed a one way trip to the loony bin, as far as Lotad was concerned. "That's enough, I'm going home." Lotad turned a stormed off down a nearby path. "Yep, yep...don't mind him Pichu." Bidoof giggled. "He's always grumpy. But you sure don't make sense, nope." The remaining Pokemon started to talk about how they had never seen a portal around here, and how they had no idea what a human was. One of the Pokemon mentioned that a human sounded like a medical condition and the other joked that it was a type of herb.
"You sure got problems, yep. You need to go find Sage. But I don't know where he is." Bidoof frowned, his whiskers drooping a little. "The only Pokemon who knows where Sage is lives in Tyric town. It's real close by though, yep. You just need to follow the nearest path."

Spark had ignored the little Pidgey. He also heard the Girafarig yell out. He could easily assume Greg and the Bidoof where friends, as if it mattered at the moment. Everyone thought he was crazy. He saw the Lotad leave and he decided to just ignore him. But when he heard the crowd mumbling in confusion as to what a human was. How could anyone not know what a human was? He tried to put everything together to try and come up with a theory as to why everything is happening.
Spark knew that the vortex was clearly a portal. He used to be a human, but after being sucked into the portal, he was a pokemon. It must've been a portal to a world in which Humans don't exist, and because Humans don't exist in this world, perhaps the one who sent the portal didn't want humans in this world, and thus, the portal changed him into a Pichu. It was completely far fetched, but possible. The only thing missing was why nobody else could see the portal. Was he the only person who could see the portal? Well, this Sage will be the only answer to these questions.
Spark was about to ask where the guy was, but was interrupted by the Bidoof saying he did not know. He heard the Bidoof say that a pokemon who knows where Sage is in Tyric town. And that he had to follow the nearest path. He looked around. "That one?" Is asked pointing to the path the Lotad walked away on.

Bidoof shook his head when Spark pointed to the path that Lotad walk away on. "Nope. That's just a small path that leads to Lotad, and some other Pokemon's homes. It's not a main path see? Yep?" Bidoof chuckled and turned to a path was to the right of Spark. It was a dirt path like the rest of the ones that winded through Tunican field, but it seemed to be the biggest and smoothest one. "This path will take you right to Tyric Town, yep. I still don't understand your rush...nope." The crowd of Pokemon seemed a little uneasy when Bidoof pointed to the path though. The younger Pidgey and her mom decided to leave at that point, and the rest of the Pokemon started to follow suit.
Greg frowned at Tyric Town's path and walked over to the Bidoof. "Yeah, but hey little Pichu, you should be careful if you're going to go to Tyric Town." He said before looking up at the sky. The Sun was still up and wouldn't be going down for quite a few hours, but he still seemed worried. "We've all been afraid to go to Tyric Town lately. A lot of Pokemon have been getting robbed from a pretty strong Pokemon lately. And most of the time, it happens in board daylight. I don't want to know what the path is like at night time..." He shivered at the thought.
From where they were now, the path from Tunican field to Tyric Town didn't seem especially short or especially long. If a thief wanted to patrol a path to rob Pokemon on, this seemed like the ideal one.

When the Bidoof pointed to the other path, Spark was actually relieved that he wouldn't have to deal with that Lotad again. He turned to his right to see the large dirt path that the Bidoof pointed to. "Okay, thanks." Spark said in gratitude toward the Bidoof. But he didn't really know a way to answer the Bidoof's question without causing even more confusion. "I have to find out why everything is happening." He said, knowing it would definitely be puzzling. He started walking down the road when he heard Greg. 'Robbed?' He thought to himself. "All right, I'll take caution." Spark said in reply as he continued walking down the road.
Spark had to be on his guard. But if he came into a run-in with this thief, how would he protect himself? He had no experience in fighting as a Pokemon. He had no idea how a Pichu would control it's electricity. But maybe it's an instinct. Maybe he subconsciously can control it. But he didn't want to find out the hard way.

As Spark began to leave, any Pokemon that were still lingering around waved at him, and some even uttered a few "goodbyes". Greg looked over at his Bidoof of a buddy, who had a smile on his face while Greg was still frowning. "Do you think that little Pichu is going to be okay?" he asked. Bidoof, who didn't really didn't seem like a Pokemon who worried about many things, chuckled at his friend. "Why, I bet he's a tough little scamp. I've never seen an Electric-type with a cooler fur color, nope. He'll be fine...yep!" They both looked back at the path and watched Spark disappear into the distance.
The path that Spark was traveling on seemed to be very peaceful. The only thing that seemed a little out of place was the fact that nobody else was traveling on it. It was daylight, but there wasn't a single soul in site. Even the most common of Pokemon, such as Pidgey and Rattata were absent from view. Maybe the rumor about the thief was true. But it didn't matter if the thief existed or not, everyone seemed to have been scared off by the rumor. If Spark was able to keep traveling at his normal pace, it was possible that he'd be able to get through the whole path without seeing another Pokemon.
That idea wasn't meant to be, however. As Spark continued to walk, he could see someone laying on the path. It was another Pokemon, a Swablu from what Spark could see. There was a bag next to it and berries scattered all around. The poor little thing wasn't moving, except for the small rise and fall of it's chest.

When he continued walking down the road, he noticed some of the pokemon saying goodbyes and waving their hands. He had no idea why anyone would do such a thing to such a strange person, he knew he honestly wouldn't have. The only thing he could think to do was wave back at them with a smile, then turn around and keep walking down the path.
Spark was walking down the road on his guard when he saw the pokemon on the ground. He started to run toward the pokemon which he could slowly make out as a Swablu. "Hey!" He yelled out. When he got to the pokemon, the only thing he could think about was that it was robbed by this thief. "Are you okay?" He asked the Swablu as he helped the poor bird up. "What happened?" He said after he brought the Swablu to its feet. The thief was definitely not just a rumor.

A small whine could be heard coming from the Swablu as Spark helped her up. "I don't feel so good..." She chirped softly before trying to stand up on her own. The berries that were scattered around her bothered her and although she was still shaky on her feet, she started to gather them back into the bag. "..." After she was done with the task, the Swablu just sat there and sniffed for awhile. She seemed very sad and very weak. "I'm sorry...thank you for helping me up..." She turned to look at Spark. The light in her eyes returned for a few seconds at the site of him for a minute, surprised at seeing such a boldly colored Pichu, but then went back to their dimmed state.
"...How long was I out...?" The Swablu asked, her gaze returning to the bag in her claws. "...I was walking and started to feel faint. The next thing I knew, I blacked out. And then you appeared." It didn't sound like she had been robbed. The Swablu was acting more as though she was sick. But that still didn't explain the sadness in her voice and appearance. "I can't fly anymore...walking is all I can do, so I've been on this trail for a good while now..." She slowly explained to Spark. Tears started to fill her eyes and it looked like she was about to start crying any minute.

When spark saw the bird gathering the berries back up, he noticed the sadness of the Swablu, he helped her by picking up a few himself and giving them back to the Swablu. "No apology needed. I couldn't just leave you there laying on the ground." Spark heard her story. "Well I'm glad you weren't robbed. But I have no idea how long you where out. I was just walking and I saw you trying to get up." he said in reply, answering her question.
He then listened her second story. "Why can't you fly?" He asked hoping there would be a way to help. He would feel bad leaving this poor bird behind. Then he noticed her eyes tearing. He hated to see anyone cry. He had to help this pokemon.

Why this Pichu thought she might have been robbed was beyond her. To be honest she hadn't really paid attention to the thief rumor. It was just a rumor, and one that she couldn't afford to be concerned with at that. "No, no...I wasn't robbed. That's probably just a silly rumor...you shouldn't let other Pokemon scare you like that..." She trailed off, looking down at her bag again. There were at least five different kinds of berries in there, making the bag almost the size of the Swablu. She closed the bag carefully, since all of the berries had been picked up, and plopped the bag in front of her with one claw still on it's drawstring.
She started to sniff again and looked sadly at her fluffy white wings. "These berries are for my husband..." She slowly explained, hopping back a bit. There was an uneasiness in her expression, as though she thought Spark might react badly to what she said next. "He's very sick and these berries are supposed to help, when mixed together. But...I must have caught his sickness. Because on my way back, I started to feel very bad. And I still do." She cringed a bit as she said this, and looked up at Spark. The sickness that she was talking about was pretty serious. It had made it to where her husband was bedridden. But she neglected to share that detail with Spark. It was bad enough that he might already think she's contagious.
"It's an avian flu..." The Swablu chirped, trying to erase any type of alarm her story might have given the Pichu. "You can't catch it, don't worry..." Tears started to fill her eyes again. Being sick wasn't a problem she could just solve with the berries in her bag. She had only gotten enough berries for one dose; They only had enough money for one dose. Once she got home, she had to figure out how long it would take her husband to get better and how long she could take being sick like this. Her husband had only been sick for a few days before being in the condition he was in. "I don't know what I"m going to do!" She suddenly burst out crying. "We can't both be sick! Who's going to take care of that poor girl who showed up on our doorstep?"

Spark listened to the Swablu's reply to the rumor. "Well, you shouldn't risk something like this in your state." Spark started to explain to the bird until she started talking again and he realized why she had to do this. The Swablu was acting like Spark would be worried about it being Contaminated. He wasn't in the slightest. He wouldn't let getting sick be a reason not to help a pokemon in need.
He was glad to know he wouldn't get affected by the illness. He realized this was much more important when he found out that they had what he assumed was a foster child as well. Spark knew what he had to do. "I'll help you get back." He said as he bent over on all fours. "Get on my back, You're going to Tyric town right? I can take you there much faster." Spark said with a grin.

"What...?" Swablu asked with a sniff as she watched Spark get on all fours. It almost seemed too good to be true. He really didn't seem to care, or worry about any chances of getting sick. Most Pokemon would still be wary, despite it being strictly an avian flu. "Are you sure...?" She asked slowly, but almost immediately jumped on his back afterwards. That was a silly question and she wasn't going to give him the chance to answer. She needed to get home. Luckily for Spark, Swablu only weighed somewhere around a mere two or three pounds. Being as she was sick, this Swablu was no exception, and might have even weighed half a pound less.
The bag, which she carried with her onto Spark's back, didn't weigh very much either. "No, no...I just came from Tyric Town to get these berries." She looked at the winding path that was a number of feet away from them. "That's the path I was going to get off this one to take. I live in the Rios Valley, which is south from here." She told Spark.

"Of course, I could never leave someone in this bad of a position behind." He pointed out when the Swablu climbed on his back. He listened to the Swablu's directions. "All right, well I was headed to Tyric town, but I can go elsewhere. Well, hang on." He said turning torward the long winding path. He then began running as fast as he could, which was much faster than he could as a human, probably due to the fact that he was a Pichu.
Along the way, he knew just running this bird to Rios Valley with the medicine wouldn't be helpful enough. She still would only have enough berries for one dose of the medicine. "So how much did you end up paying for those berries anyway?" He asked, hoping he could help with that problem as well.

Swablu, who wasn't about to complain about how fast Spark was running, had to hang onto him and her bag of berries as best as she could. They were going to be there in no time at this speed. She could already see the Rios Valley up ahead! "Thank you..." She said, but then had to try and think of the answer to his next question? How much did she pay for those berries? All them were uncommon, so it wasn't very cheap. That was why they only had enough money for one dose. That was also why it was going to take awhile before her husband could get the same mix of berries for her. She sniffed and looked down at her bag sadly. "...too much. They cost way too much..." The only reason she had gone to Tyric Town was because it was quicker to just buy the berries and she didn't know how much time her husband had. The berries were uncommon, but it was still possible to find them in the wild. "These berries aren't around as often Oran berries...but I think you can still find them in the Aina Forest..." They were going to have to work out the details later. Right now, she needed to get home. The entrance to the Rios Valley was coming up directly in front of them. ~You may now make a thread in the Rios Valley!~
