((This RP is by no means serious - expect it to degenerate into even higher degrees of insanity by the time we get to the actual plot. Anyone can join at any time.))

Bombast Stronghooves was a bold, fearless stallion who traveled all of Equestria searching for The Ultimate Treasure. What exactly this treasure was, no one really knew... perhaps it was a fountain of youth? Or a pile of ancient doubloons worth a fortune? Maybe it was the seventh Element of Harmony?
All Bombast knew was that he wanted it. One tip-off led to another, and soon Bombast found himself traversing all sorts of treacherous terrain, from the well-known and generally avoided Everfree Forest and Ghastly Gorge, to the more obscure corners of the world such as Mt. Pyrest and the Stark Desert.
The last town in which he was seen was Ponyville - it has been 5 months since anyone had even heard from this brave explorer. His next destination was supposedly Eternalive Plains, a supposedly harmless location compared to other places he had endured... did he find something? Did something find him?
There was no way to be certain. Bombast, in the eyes of most, was gone for good.
Not every pony was ready to give up on him, however... he certainly wasn't the only one who dreamed of finding The Ultimate Treasure.
But before I can tell you that story, I have to tell you this story...
It's totally related, I promise!

'It's official - summer is the worst season of the year.'
Hailstorm sighed. Sitting on a park bench under a cloudless sky, the winter-colored pegasus pony felt more grounded than ever. He had endured yet another day of his weather patrol work clearing the sky and letting the hot sun shine down unhindered onto Ponyville for the fourth day in a row. He couldn't understand what the harm was in a little rain more often than once a week... maybe even snow to mix things up a little. Rain was fun, and snow was beautiful AND fun. There was nothing he hated more than destroying clouds. Sometimes he wished he could buck his supervisor in place of the innocent white fluffy things.
His hoof burned, and Hail suddenly realized he had involuntarily placed it on the rail of the bench. He withdrew his leg and silently cursed the sun once again. 'Oh, that tears it!' thought Hail. He had had enough of this heat - it was time to bring down Thor's Hammer. He took off into the sky, heading towards Everfree Forest as fast as his wings would take him. Sure enough, in the depths of the forest were several dormant rainclouds that held a lot of moisture just waiting to be released.
He got behind the massive string of rainclouds and, fueled by a lack of sanity, began to push the entire cluster towards Ponyville... but before reaching the town, he flew underneath the clouds and lifted them even higher into the sky. The breeze was much windier there, and the air much cooler. Hail felt right at home as he gave his clouds the final shove covering the town and blocking the sun. He suddenly felt the stares of dozens of ponies from the ground, but they may as well have been ants under a magnifying glass. With one solid kick, the clouds entered a chain reaction of dumping their air-chilled contents over the town - a thick slushy mix of sleet and rain. Not quite the snow he was hoping for, but it was certainly better than that horrid sun.
And now, all he had to do was lay back and watch his handiwork... certainly he wasn't the only one hoping for a change in that boring schedule!
