What kind of sick joke is this? Seriously.A talking portal that takes you into a whole separate realm where Pokemon are civilized? Yeah yeah, what really intelligent yet somehow misguided inventor came up with idea? Um yeah, I'm just gonna create an illusion world for psychotic people to come to. AND that's not even the fun part, even if they don't wanna come... they have to! GUEST snapped from thought, realizing this was ridiculous that he even considered thinking about this. Perhaps he was going insane. Well... more insane than previously. Maybe he was dreaming, then again he never remembered any dreams. And no one ever suggests to themselves that it must be a dream inside of a dream. GUEST raised his right arm, looking at the darkness of it. He had already assessed the fact that he was a Sableye. He pinched his other arm, to no avail.
GUEST really hated the eyesight in which he was granted in this form. Truthfully, it was ridiculous that standard Sableyes could see through these gems successfully. Like staring through a distorted mirror, only GUEST was still able to make sense of what he was seeing. And he wasn't at the circus. GUEST's feet seemed to drag across the ground as he walked. Why was he so short? Previously, GUEST was almost 6 foot. Being 1 foot was like eating a bad mushroom, thinking your going to grow 20 feet only to be disappointed. Only this effect didn't wear off. Well, not until GUEST snapped out of this illusion (or so he thought) Perhaps he should look for a local!
Actually, looking for a local wasn't a bad idea to GUEST. GUEST picked up speed slightly, brushing through the short grass with ease. The breeze was slight, and it felt weird against GUEST. GUEST knew these things were supposed to live in caves, so it might take awhile to adapt to this outside area. What am I talking about! It'll be over soon, even if my illusion of a body has to be thrown over a cliff.... hey, not a bad idea. GUEST kept walking, his eyes reflecting the light brilliantly, his face remaining with no expression. Quietly, he shifted his body into a little bit deeper grass, his short body shrouded slightly by the green plants.
Notes: Hehe.... weird post ftw?

((I'm used to taking all kinds of weird. :L))
As the Sableye made his way through the grass, searching for souls, one behind glassy eyes was watching him the entire time from atop a high perch. Its owner did not so much as blink, appearing almost as part of the scenery high in the trees. Or, not-so-high. A Spinarak, who had built his web between two small trees, waited upon it, unmoving, for any sort of prey to get lodged inside. It didn't appear likely to snare anything at all at that height - it was just above grass level and highly visible to anything on the surface. This fact was either unapparent or unimportant to the Spinarak. His trap was set, all he needed to do was wait.
But there was no telling how long he had been there. Even the spider himself lost count of the days, and he was starting to get hungry and desperate. He was so hungry, he could eat a Sableye. Regardless if there was any substance to them anyway, or if it were feasible to do so, this meal belonged to him!
"H-hey, you," called the Spinarak to GUEST, "C-could you maybe walk over here and jump into my web? Pretty please? I promise I'll eat you quickly." He stared wistfully at GUEST as if asking for permission to eat somebody was a perfectly reasonable thing to do and it was only common courtesy to say yes. One could tell this Spinarak had been here a while, probably far too long.

A voice was to break the silence in which rested on the field of what GUEST thought was nothing but a figment of his imagination: a dream. However, it was very questionable to GUEST that he was hearing such a voice. He could not match the voice to any person he had ever met, and usually in dreams things that didn't make sense usually had some sort of odd connection to things in real life. Such as voices being the same as they are to people in real life. This one was different, and not something GUEST would just think up typically. Of course, insanity could also be grasping his thoughts and twisting them into what was now this voice he heard directly behind him. GUEST was hesitant to turn around to see what he found. In dreams he usually would turn around to see something extreme and stupid like a giant Ekans with tweezers or a Chansey with a chainsaw. Stupid stuff like that.
However, when he did turn around he saw something that actually made some sense. The words spoken now were made sense out of, for a web was obvious. But the question still remained as to why this Spinarak was capable of talking to him. Thinking about it, GUEST realized he never made the attempt to talk so he was unsure if he held the ability. The Spinarak apparently wanted him to just jump into the net to be eaten. For some reason GUEST seemed to be expected to do so without hesitation, seeing as how Spinarak spoke as if it was almost natural for such to be done by asking. GUEST's eyes met Spinarak's and GUEST gazed without emotion. Perhaps he should reply, for the sake of seeing if he could talk in this dream.
For a split second GUEST considered doing what Spinarak said, for the hopes of ending his dream. However, if this was anything like his average dream he would end up worming his way through the Spinarak's insides. GUEST thought maybe he could spice up his dream by attacking the Spinarak, knowing from experiments that they were not naturally strong. Which would make sense that they weren't strong here either, for it was indeed his dream and his own thoughts. GUEST spoke, his voice all Sableye-like, " Why are you talking to me? If this is just a dream shouldn't you be going all Rambo on me or something? I am disappointed in my own insanity, truthfully." The words seemed to come out normally, which meant thus far he had no problems speaking in this dream, even though he was a Sableye. GUEST began walking towards the Spinarak, looking into its web. GUEST was not impressed by the design, it looked too natural for a dream.

The Spinarak waited for what seemed like forever for a reply, amplified by the fact that he hadn't eaten in just as long. The hunger was starting to get to his head. For when he did hear the Sableye's response, he couldn't quite make heads or tails of it. It wasn't a direct answer, anyway. Did he say this was a dream? For all the Spinarak knew, he could already be dead and having some kind of posthumous fantasy. He continued to stare at GUEST, unsure what to say to that. "Uh..." he uttered finally, "Is that supposed to... w-what is... of course I'm talking to you?" It took him a while, but that was the statement he stuck with for fear of making this too awkward.
"Oh, well, I guess it totally ruins the purpose if a Spinarak tries to talk to his potential food, but I was afraid you wouldn't notice me otherwise and I have been sitting here hungry and completely still for as long as I can remember... I think my legs are getting stiff." It was also apparent that the spider hadn't had a proper conversation with anybody in quite some time either. "Ugh, maybe I'm just not cut out to catch things in a web... I should just stick to foraging for berries or something... I might have to do that now before I die of hunger in my own web..." And now he was mostly talking to himself.

GUEST's words were met with another unsure set from Spinarak, in which confused GUEST a bit. The words seemed to be more directed towards Spinarak rather than GUEST, which really made little sense. However, the target was showing signs of insanity. Also, if Pokemon here were civilized enough to speak and act likes somewhat normal humans, then Spinarak would be one whom was slipping into savagery (on a minuscule scale). So the Spinarak was going to starve to death? This puzzled GUEST, and his red gem eyes seemed to portray the same emotion. This seemed less and less like a dream as time progressed, and maybe GUEST should just give up on the entire idea of this being a dream. Perhaps instead of trying to finds faults in his dreams he should work towards finding a way out of this.
It sounded like a plan, despite the oddness of the entire thing. And perhaps this Spinarak would be able to lead GUEST to the nearest sign of civilization if such thing existed. It would seem obvious talking Pokemon would want to share ideas and meet together in one or two central locations. GUEST spoke, "I think you might be able to survive a bit longer, actually." GUEST's words seemed to lead nowhere and make little sense coming from GUEST. GUEST then held up his right hand. The hand glowed with a dark color. GUEST then struck his left forearm, allowing a small sliver of flesh and insides to come from GUEST's arm. GUEST winced with pain. Sableye's body was not made of much internal things at all, for Sableye was partly ghost. "If you can lead me to civilization. No tricks, no shenanigans... I will offer you this and whatever else I personally can scavenge along the way, okay?"

The Spinarak stared at the offering somewhat in disbelief. Was this what salvation looked like? If any undoubtedly sane person were to look upon this scene, they would probably find it disturbing to some degree. But the sanity of the two involved was questionable at best. The only problem the Spinarak had was if he could even remember where civilization was in the first place. He wasn't even sure he had a solid grasp of what civilization was in this state. Regardless, he had to try. "Oh... of course!" replied the Spinarak finally. "I can lead you to civilization. Just... bear in mind that I haven't been anywhere other than here for so long... it could take me a while to remember."
He flexed one leg, wincing a little as he did so, and did the same with another. He took a few steps across his web, as if trying to remember how to walk, and finally, he crawled off of it shakily, onto one of the trees, and onto the ground. There, at least his joints still worked. He took the opportunity to stretch his entire body. It felt pretty good, but not as good as eating. And this was his next priority. He stared at the lump of flesh that GUEST had produced from his own body. He may have been hungry, but he was still polite, and he wouldn't take it unless he was sure that he was qualified to receive it.

Oh of course. Of course that was his reply, this thing was desperate for food and who knows, maybe if it gained its sanity it from eating something it might actually prove a little helpful to GUEST. GUEST was discouraged by Spinarak noting that it might not know where civilization is. GUEST was actually very frustrated by that. Honestly, he should have seen that fact earlier. However, he tried to keep his head up and take note that this thing could still lead him around if it were to know what to do. Also, he might not feel so insane having a Pokemon with him in which also lacked sanity. Actually, that was fantastic. GUEST held his flesh in his hand, acting as if it was nothing at all. GUEST was used to such disgusting stuff as that, especially since he had taken apart Pokemon trying to find out why his enhancement killed them all so quickly.
That was something he hadn't considered quite yet. If this all lasted too long, how would he continue his projects? Perhaps some Pokemon had obtained the right items to conduct the experiments, now he just needed to harvest the ingredients to restart his experimentation. First priority: Get this Spinarak to do something of worth. "I really hope you don't let me down, because I'd much be satisfied with putting you out of your misery, Spinarak." GUEST's eyes seemed to show a fiendish look, and his hand clenched in a claw-fist thing.

The Spinarak may have been losing his sanity, but he hadn't lost his sense of fear - in fact, it heightened it if anything. And GUEST especially knew how to make him feel uncomfortable. As he clenched his fist, Spinarak flinched, withdrawing a bit. He wasn't sure just how tough the Sableye really was, but he certainly could not put up a fight in his condition. He tried to remember as hard as he could the location of the nearest town. He found it difficult to concentrate, however. He looked around the field, trying to spot some kind of landmark besides trees and plants. Or at least a unique plant.
He gazed for a while at a steep hill about a hundred feet away. "I think I remember something about that hill..." he mumbled uneasily. "After I had left town, I was walking... and I didn't see the ground drop... so I slipped and fell," he explained. "I think then I found these two trees and set up my web there... so I must've come from the other side of that hill." He looked back at GUEST, a little more confident now. "Yes, that would be my best guess." He hoped his memory didn't fail him now of all times, but that is what he remembered, and he planned on recalling more as he came across more terrain.

GUEST looked upon the Spinarak, and his body seemed to potray a sense of discomfort, in which GUEST had probably brought upon him, if not just Spinarak's upcoming insanity. But he flinched and backed up just a bit, as if a little bit scared by GUEST's actions. Of course, this was only understandable seeing as how GUEST seemed to be in good shape from what he could form, despite the fact he was a Sableye now. So it was clear that he would probably reign dominant over the Spinarak in combat. However, GUEST actually was not exactly ready to this body yet, so he was yet to understand his true strengths. So it might have actually been a close match if they were to battle, however the arrogant GUEST would say otherwise.
Now, the Spinarak began talking somewhat to itself. It really wasn't talking to much however it seemed to be explaining what it was seeing and how it related to going to the nearest town. GUEST was unsure if what he was saying was true or just mumbled nonsense due to fear of being attacked. Then, Spinarak's eyes met GUEST's. GUEST began walking up to the side of Spinarak, before looking to his face again. "How long has it been since you actually came here..? Not that I am lacking in faith in you or anything." GUEST took a few steps lead, hoping for Spinarak to begin walking as well.

Spinarak watched GUEST walk in front of him, knowing that he was expected to follow. Hesitantly, he did, knowing that his fate would not be pleasant if he was caught trying to run away at this state. His legs scrambled across the grass, still a little awkwardly, but he was getting used to traveling again. It took him a few seconds to realize that the Sableye had asked him a question. "Oh, um..." He bowed his head as he walked, trying to remember. "I lost track of time since coming here, but... I know I counted 16 sunsets... or were they sunrises? Though I may have lost count. I've been here a couple of weeks at least... maybe even a month..."
Either way, it was an awfully long time to go without food. The duo came to the hill, and the Spinarak climbed it with ease, being an expert at traversing vertical planes. When they got to the top, a large radius of the surrounding field came into view. Most of the visible objects were trees, but there were a few unnaturally quadrilateral shapes in the very distance, just on the edge of the view. Spinarak gazed out at those shapes. "That must be it!" he exclaimed. "It's not even that far from here!" Now excited, the spider Pokemon's pace quickened. Sweet salvation would not be long now.
Of course, no prize is without its obstacles. A ways up ahead, in the middle of the only path through a small grove of trees to the distant town, a large, bulky-framed Pokemon sat grazing on a bush. The Pokemon was stone-gray, quadrupedal, and had a distinct horn. As Spinarak got closer to the creature, not even registering it as a threat at this point, he could make out that it was a Rhyhorn, and the bush it was feeding off of contained several ripe blue berries. He stopped. GUEST did promise him whatever sustenance they could forage along the way - he never mentioned that they'd have to go through a tough Rock Pokemon to get to it. And whether they wanted the berries or not, the Rhyhorn was blocking the most direct path to the town. Thankfully, the Pokemon did not notice either of them yet, so they would have time to think it out. Spinarak turned silently back towards GUEST, awaiting his judgment of the situation.

The walk really was sort of draining as far as energy, with the terrain of the field being a little more extended than GUEST had originally thought. But of course, originally he could not see anything but the fielded area. So there really was no indication of how big this area was. There was no indication as to where he was, actually. One thing GUEST had yet to do was to recollect what he had done in his last moments. He didn't fall asleep really, he wasn't doing anything of importance. Just searching for another experiment really. Yet, the world seemed to shift when this happened. A portal appeared, and it talked to him. Hell, he rejected the invite. Yet, here he was being led by a starved Spinarak to where he would hope to be life. Stooping to such a level was not like GUEST, however perhaps this world had some sort of influence on him, changing his reason. Now they came to a point in which they could see what appeared to be the rough outline of a town in the distance. It wasn't really that close at all, but being able to see it really seemed to spike up the level of excitement in Spinarak. GUEST was a little passive about the sight, however he at least was ensured he was heading the right way now. The little path seemed to help too. However now they were confronting a Rhyhorn. Spinarak gave GUEST a weird look, in which GUEST frowned upon a little bit.
What... what was he expecting? GUEST obviously was not really too experienced as to what he was doing, however he did sort of say that they would get the berries along the way. So, he had to think of some sort of plan. The Rhyhorn looked pretty tough, but looks were deceiving. Might as well run out there and make a complete and utter fool out of yourself, GUEST. Actually, he was going to go do that. He was good at that.GUEST walked down the path, until he was not but a few feet away from Rhyhorn. No need to panic, it probably was a nice guy. It probably had something generic to say like how it liked long strolls on the beach or something. Surely it wouldn't be threatening or anything. Maybe this was a toll road or something that he could work out a deal. Oh wait, he didn't have any money at all that he knew about. Hopefully it wasn't a toll road, just a nice guy eating food. However, GUEST was prepared to insult this Rhyhorn. Like somehow it was supposed to help. Like Rhyhorn was supposed to cry and run away because GUEST made a stupid joke. GUEST spoke, "I understand your weight problem completely, but please take your imbecilic self to an area outside of this path. Me and my... acquaintance here need food and this easy passage. And honestly, I don't think you have a choice other than to move, kid. It just really doesn't make sense that you be sittin' there in our way eating what should be our food. Agreed?"

Spinarak stood back and watched nervously as GUEST approached the Rhyhorn. There was no way, even with a full stomach, that the Spinarak would even consider such a brave (and possibly foolish) feat... and even though they just met, and GUEST wasn't exactly the most comforting companion, Spinarak was worried for him. He wanted to voice his second opinion, but he didn't want to alert the Rhyhorn even more, and especially not to his own presence. The Rhyhorn turned his head at GUEST (at this distance the beast looked more masculine than feminine), swallowing his current mouthful and staring the Sableye down with a dominant yet restrained look, as if he were perfectly capable of listening to reason. Maybe he would let them both pass and even share some of the berries if they seemed nice and submissive enough.
Unfortunately, GUEST did not do a very good job of making a first impression - unless he was aiming to try and counter-dominate the Rhyhorn, but this did not faze him in the slightest. The Rhyhorn growled, lowering his head to the Sableye's eye level, obviously not pleased with his words. "And WHAT," roared the rhinoceros, "makes you think you can just waltz through other Pokemon's territory, expecting its rightful owner to allow a rude emo weakling and his cowardly insect friend to his land and his food?!" The Spinarak looked down, his fragile self-esteem now shattered. "I'm giving you 5 seconds to turn around and get out of my face before I tear yours off and use it as a welcome mat!" He began the countdown. He definitely looked serious enough to follow up on his threat, and then some. Spinarak began to back up, hoping that GUEST would bail and he could retreat along with him... but he did not intend to leave behind the only acquaintance he could remember.
