Before he noticed it, the human woke up in the middle of a large field, standing on his feet while facing a gentle windy breeze as he could perhaps not feel his feet entirely but definitely felt the grass' whistles in the wind and its soft touches while leaning on the steady ground. He felt a little weird, but it is to be accepted easily. After all, this weird voice thingy in his head just spoke to him and offered him a second chance at life, of which he wasted on a single second wasting. Needless to say he was shocked to see he actually got one, now wasting some of his precious life seconds, facing the breeze upon a grassy area in middle daylight with nearly no clouds at all hovering in the sky. Strange as it is, if he didn't know any better the human would be completely sure he was under the effects of some hallucination-causing drugs of some sort.
"... Wow." Ironically, that's the only thing he could say though - not even noticing what has happened to his physical structure yet.

Seconds earlier, a Phanpy had been wandering about the area. He had come across the Tauros just as he was waking up and sprinted behind a tree. He had never actually come across a Tauros that had been sleeping. Usually they were charging at something or other, and he really didn't want to be the first thing the Tauros saw lest he become the target of his next charge.
Periodically he peeked around the tree to see if the coast was clear. However, it didn't really matter how sneaky he tried to be about it. As small as the Phanpy was, the tree just didn't quite cover his rear.

The Tauros standing in the middle field was nearly interrupted by nothing around, for nothing could break the inner peace he felt simply by standing there with the wind blowing on his face. But, there was one thing in his eyesight that caught his attraction as well, perhaps because it was just way too obvious to ignore.
"... You know, I can see your nose. And face. And ears. And behind. Basically, this isn't helping you."
The Tauros suddenly noted as he looked at the small Phanpy hiding behind what seemed to be a tree that was there all along but noticed only later on by the large bull. James figured that if he spoke to the scardy-cat elephant maybe it will approach him and he could befriend it, to the point where he uses it to battle and even get revenge at those bastards that caused his death.
"You can stop hiding now you know."
Obviously though, he didn't expect a clear response other than the Pokemon's name, for that's the only speech Pokemon are capable of completing - normally. In some cases they just roar and in extreme, 1 in a million they even use human speech.

The Phanpy froze for a second. He considered running, but knew that a moving target would just be more enticing for a Pokemon looking for something to charge at. He reassured himself with the fact that if the bull pokemon hadn't already charged at him after figuring out where he was, he just might not be in the mood to charge at anything.
I may be able to make it out of this alive yet, the Phanpy thought to himself, but I better do what he asks so he doesn't get angry.
The Phanpy hesitantly stepped out from behind the tree. "Heh. You found me." the Phanpy chuckled nervously.

"What!?"
The sudden murmur coming from the surprised Tauros came as fast as thunder the moment he could hear the Phanpy talk to him so casually. His eyes widened and his face obviously not pleased with the sudden confusion that struck his mind, the bull would usually go on a rampage if irritated but this one just remained in his place and even took a step backwards upon hearing the elephant. Perhaps a little time on his own, watching this world closely would be enough to convince his mind entirely on what's going on. Pokemon are not supposed to have human speech!
"Erhm... What exactly did you try to get with hiding?" He asked, returning his facial expression to the one from earlier. Sounding a little sarcastic in his words, the bull awaited the blue Ground-type's answer - still unaware at all that he's a Pokemon too.

The Tauros' 'what' had spooked the Phanpy just a bit. "Well I was just hiding because..." the Phanpy stopped there. He wasn't really sure how to end that sentence without giving the Tauros reason to charge.
The Tauros' next statement caught him off guard as well. "Actually, I was just leaving. I wasn't doing anything but trying to get back to Tyric Town! Honest!" It suddenly occurred to himself what an idiot he was. If he had only been paying attention to where he was going instead of wandering on and off the path, he wouldn't be in this mess.

It appears as if the Phanpy was not too sure where he was going and just came up with the first comment that would make the human not angry about his business there. Then again, he still had no idea he was a Pokemon by now and just let the conversation flow in-order to get information about where he is now, how did he get there and later on - why is he a quadrupedal. Though that will have to wait, this investigation will go in several stages - hopefully not getting the bull caught up in some trouble with the elephant's parents or something. "You seem to know your ways around here." A good analyzing is always coming in handy when these kind of 'small fry' are met, especially since James was previously engaging in some criminal business. He knew how to bully a runt alright.
"If you show me the way I won't hurt you." He said. That was obviously the worst comment he could come up with, but how would he help it? He's completely confused as to why is he still alive when moments ago he was dying on the ground. And of course, a good possibility comes where the Phanpy begins running - causing the Tauros to run after him - realizing he's a Tauros, but also getting to this Tyric Town where he could probably gain information more easily.

Show him the way? To Tyric Town? Who doesn't know how to get to Tyric Town? the Phanpy thought to himself. This guy can't be from around here.
"Uhh. I guess I can show you the way then. It isn't too far."The Phanpy was a bit thrown by being threatened for simple directions. If that was all the Tauros wanted in exchange for not charging at him, then it was quite a small price to pay!
"The path is over this way." the Phanpy said as he walked to his left, looking over his shoulder every second or so, either to make sure the Tauros was following him, or to make sure the Tauros wasn't charging at him. The Phanpy couldn't decide which.

Every now and then it looks like the Phanpy looked over his shoulder in rather small traces of fear to see that the Tauros isn't charging at him, noting he's scared of something. Yup, James still has it, even after dying once! But something quite bothered him the while they were walking, that would be the heavier breaths he exhales and the slight sounds of hooves hitting the ground again and again as they advance. Are they being followed, he asked himself, only to take a glance behind him and see nothing behind - except for three, golden tails.
Three tails!?
"(What the!?)" He thought to himself in shock as he gasped and then took a quick look down to see golden hooves. Not only that, but that could easily explain why did he feel a little weird walking, he was not a human anymore. "Gyaah!" He shouted all of the sudden, throwing his threatening characteristic away in no time. Obviously, a threatened face but nevertheless, his rage can be easily attained again if this small blue Pokemon will say anything wrong.
But what was more frustrating than that was the fact he currently has no idea where he is, no idea what he is and cannot even ask that little Phanpy for details.
Hold on a minute.
"You... YOU did this!!" He said in obvious rage, still nervous about this sudden transformation. To his theory, that Phanpy changed him into a quadrupedal, triple-tailed golden-hooved Pokemon, which is why he was running behind the tree in an attempt to hide himself.
To anybody that isn't getting what's going on, James would seem insane.

The Phanpy turned around as soon as he heard the cry from the Tauros. "D-Did what?" the Phanpy asked. He wasn't really all that shocked at the Tauros' current mood. He figured getting off the hook so easily had probably been too good to be true this entire time. He started to brace himself for the charge that was sure to be coming soon. "I have n-no idea what you're t-talking about!"
Meanwhile, a lone cloud in the sky passed overhead and blocked the sun momentarily, dimming the light around the two. It was an otherwise completely ordinary day for the Phanpy, except for the part where he was pretty sure he was about to be gored by a Tauros.

"Don't lie to me, you punk!!" The bull shouted in anger, taking what would appear to be a stance for rushing at the small, defenseless elephant although that was only his rage blinding him. To him, common sense will not work anymore, that's just how it is, for if he could get to the conclusion that a Phanpy transformed him into a Tauros obviously something is wrong with his currently messed up mind. This would take a while to explain further, but at least he got some directions to Tylic Town. Maybe a beatdown will make him feel better.
"You turned me into a Pokemon!!" Wait, what? 'Turned' into a Pokemon? But aren't Pokemon just naturally born in this world? Or is everything in truth just an image of reality that has another face that can be revealed as something else? Are we to be philosophers due to a rampaging bull's blind anger, or are we to call him stupid for his loss of logic in his statement? What could possibly be a living creature other than a Pokemon, anyways?
Nevertheless, if this Phanpy wasn't to answer with a satisfying reply he's going to get attacked by 208 lbs of pure horn.

"W-well of course you're a pokemon. What else would you be? the Phanpy dared to say aloud. There wasn't anything inhabiting this world BUT pokemon. The Phanpy was now not only frightened, he was also very confused. There was little the Phanpy would be able to do aside from curl up and hope he didn't get hurt too badly if that Tauros decided to charge, so the Phanpy didn't dare say anything else for fear of pushing him over the edge. What could he even say? Could he admit to doing it?
Now there was an idea. Two could play the game of threatening others. "That is, what else would you be after I transformed you into what you are now! A Tauros! You should be happy I decided not to pick something pathetic like a Caterpie. I could still change my mind though, so I would watch yourself, Tauros!" The Phanpy was shocked at what was coming out of his mouth, but he rolled with it. It wasn't like it was going to make getting pummeled any worse.

He snapped. That Phanpy would acknowledge the fact he's going to get pummeled, but why make it worse while at it? Now the Tauros isn't just going to charge at him but most likely stomp him a few times after that - if he's nice enough. Who is that elephant think he is anyway to speak to someone as mighty as James in that kind of attitude? 208 lbs of rampaging bull was coming right up, straight to the little creature's little face. "Oh, really~?" He said sarcastically, the rage simply blowing out of his face like a rocket. You could almost read the degree of the bull's anger at this moment. "Then surely you've seen This coming!!" He shouted, then beginning to run full speed ahead directly to the elephant that dared anger him.
Not that it matters or anything, the Phanpy will get pummeled, even if once. Just once, the angry Tauros would love to send this little punk flying away with his pure alone. Obviously, not to kill but just to get him back at that stupid attempt of a threat he made at the obviously larger identity. What was weird in this entire thing was, the voice that spoke to him when he was nearing his death didn't sound at all like this little one's, but a little weirder than that. It's also not seeming too possible for the blue elephant to bend his voice to such a degree or even show the Tauros such images in his minds moments before waking up (standing) on the very same field.
But what the hell, kill first. Reasoning later.

What the- the Phanpy wasn't surprised his threat didn't stop the Tauros, but he hadn't expected the turn to happen this quickly. Oh well. In for a penny, in for a pound, the Phanpy thought to himself as he ran, quickly rolling into a ball and rolling forward at the Tauros using Rollout. The Phanpy wasn't completely untrained in defending himself. He knew that being lower to the ground than the Tauros, he had a few advantages.

Well, bummer. The Tauros never really thought that if he goes on a rampage against a smaller creature he will get a reply, an aggressive one while at it coming from someone who obviously won't have as much power as such a monstrous bull. On the other hand, it's not likely for James to even be capable of thinking at this point basically because of his rage, blocking his reasoning and launching him into the field of battle like some weirdo or a barbarian. Not that these two are incompatible with this guy's traits after all, right now he could be nothing but barbaric. And as expected, he collided his head with the Phanpy's rolling body immediately just to show that he's a man and seeing a threat won't draw him back.
Or he was just angry and nothing more to it.
When they collided, the bull lowered his head as low as possible resulting in his frontal knees bending and his back legs supporting his weight. At any given moment, he's going to quickly raise his head up to blow this Phanpy away to the skies, where his Rollout will probably end up hitting a tree or some material. Question is, if he can do it with his force alone.

Instead of being flung into the air, the Phanpy more or less bounced off of the Tauros's horns, and he turned at a right angle. He continued to roll faster and with more momentum. He made a turn to roll around, making an awkward figure-eight in order to come back around to hit the Tauros again, except this time he would come around from the back, and he would be able to hit harder.
Try to block this one with your horns!, the Phanpy thought to himself. Even if he wanted to stop, he couldn't. Once his Rollout got started, the Phanpy had no way of telling when he would be able to slow himself to a hault.

At times, when you cannot catch your prey in the middle of a hunt you're sure to be angered in a way, some people unfortunately with anger issues would be drove to the point where they don't really have any self control and would act only violently and primitively to get things over with already so they could just go back to their simple lives, after of course catching their prey. Such occasions happen when you're successful though, and not when a small elephant decides to attack you from the back after oddly bouncing off your body - while you pointed your sharpest edge at him. Apparently physics don't work here, or the Tauros' horn was just not sharp enough. Perhaps a little more force was needed.
However, this one was deeply enraged by now after being unable to take down this spinning Phanpy. It was smaller than him by at least twice and yet it withstood an attack earlier with relative ease. In response to the blue Ground-type's back assault, the Tauros lifted his two back hooves and attempted to strike the target with a back kick.

The Phanpy did little to dodge the counter attack by the Tauros. In fact, he did nothing at all. He simply kept rolling, oblivious to most things both in front of and behind him. Even what he could see was mostly a blur, and was doing most of his navigation through what he remembered about the landscape before he had started his attack. He had to, as he wouldn't be able to stop his Rollout attack very easily, and it would only get faster and more forceful until the Phanpy could slow down.
The Phanpy didn't see the attack coming, but he definitely felt it. Between his forward momentum and the backward kick, he was sent backwards, where be bounced and reversed himself in midair, now sending all of the gained momentum in the opposite direction. He was probably hurt quite a bit by this, but he wasn't going to be able to focus on any damage inflicted to him until he stopped rolling. I think I have enough speed now. I'll just have to go for it and hope for the best. With that, he rounded his way out and traveled back, aiming himself at a small hill. He ramped off, planning to come down on top of the Tauros from the top, where the Phanpy felt he would have trouble mounting an effective counter attack. At the very least, he had little chance of defending the attack from making contact, as far as the pachyderm could tell.
