Name: Brenton Eroku
Nickname: He goes by two names: Brent or Cutler
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Starter: Charmander
Starting Power: 10 (yes it's miniscule, but I want a difficult journey. x3)
Starting Money: ¶280
Appearance: He has the same coloration as a Shiny Charizard.
Personality: Cutler can be...clueless. He is known to not have a clue as to what's going on around him, and will sometimes take things seriously, even if it's a joke. He will also run right into things without giving them any kind of logical thought. He is the type to rely more on his reactions than his head. He also hates to be sitting still, and he is bored easily. So if there's something he can do, then he will do it. He also is quite naive when it comes to right and wrong. He thinks that if it will benefit him, he'll do it.
Nature: Insecure, Thoughtful
Biography: Brent grew up in a dull, unmapped town in Sinnoh known as Cirrio. It was stricken from the map many years ago because it no longer has anything of interest. Not since the Gym Leader passed away thirty years ago and the ninth, optional Gym of Sinnoh closed down because the Leader had failed to name a successor. And nobody dared take the position. Why? Because nobody else in the town was even close to as strong as that Leader was, and he was already the weakest Leader in the land. And Brent was no exception. In fact, Brent had only gotten introduced to Pokemon Training just a couple years ago.
Ever since, Brent had always loved to fight with the few other Trainers that happened to live here in Cirrio. Even though he always lost, no matter who he challenged. Of course, he didn't blame his Pokemon, but himself. He thought of himself as a weak Trainer. That's the main reason he didn't even think about going on his own journey. There's no way he'd survive in that world. At least that's what his opponents had always said about him. And he had to agree with them. But one fateful day, something happened to him that would forever change his outlook on his own self.
------------------------------
Brent was doing his usual early-morning job. He and the Scyther his father had given him for his birthday last year were hard at work cutting that day's wood. They used it for multiple purposes, and it was his job to make sure that each piece was right. So he and Scyther had worked out a system. Scyther went into the nearby trees and cut down limbs and brought them to him. Then Brent would cut them up into the right shape using an axe, and then stack them. In fact, this work was what got him his nickname as "Cutler". His father was a butler for some rich guy living far away from here, but occasionally was allowed to visit them (one such occasion being his last birthday). But this system had worked every day so far.... But today, it seemed more tedious than ever. His back was aching, he was sweating more than usual, and it seemed more hot today... Maybe it was just the weather....
But Brent had something else on his mind. He'd used Scyther in a lot of his recent battles. And Scyther always lost. Even against the Fighting-types. And he seemed really depressed about it recently.
'Poor Scyther....' he couldn't help but think. 'he's like this only because I'm such a weak Trainer.... He's really down about losing all of those fights.... I wish there was some way that I could become strong.... Strong enough to at least have Scyther win a match. But that'll never happen here, and I know it....' He sighed and went back to chopping the last bunch of wood that Scyther had dropped off.
However, he then heard something in his head. It was a voice.... And it was saying, "So, you want to become strong for your Pokemon, eh? Well I know of a place where that can become a reality.... Come with me...to my world. And learn how to be strong...."
Brent, without even a word, instantly, and foolishly, believed that voice. He would be willing to try anything to become strong. So without even a word, he soon found himself sucked into a vortex, falling right through it, and soon falling unconscious without so much as a thought about what the Scyther's reaction would be when he came back to find his human Trainer missing.
