"Don't even bother. I'm not fighting you. Not after that." Ansgar did his best to sound shocked as raised his fin in the air. "I withdraw from this match."
At that moment, before the Machamp could move another muscle, Jarek was declared the winner of match 14 across all the screens on the fairgrounds.
The seats ejected, Ansgar stood up and walked back to join what was left of the small group in the facility. He was pretty happy with that performance. Anyone who knew that move would know how destructive it can be, and word would spread throughout the fairgrounds in no time. No-one would even care that Ansgar had withdrawn. In fact, after that, no-one could blame him at all. And not to mention this tournament is actually going to start getting fun.

Before the Machamp could leap forward like he had intended, he heard Ansgar surrender. "Wait, wha-?" he started, but before he could say anything, everything went black. A moment later, he felt something beneath him move, and he soon realized that he was back to sitting inside of the machine. Or...had been. The seat had just ejected itself out of the sphere. It seemed like it worked almost immediately after the Empoleon had surrendered. Well...a win was a win, right?
He wasn't sure what Ansgar had meant by his last sentence, or what had made the Empoleon simply surrender like that, but hey...Damon should be pleased that he won the fight, as he had planned...right?
At that moment, a Weavile stood to his feet from across the room. He couldn't help but smirk to himself after what he had just seen. He knew how devastating an attack like that Diamond Dash could be when used properly...especially in the hands of a powerful brute like that Jarek. That was definitely something that Damon wanted Jarek to keep hidden until sometime in the future. 'Well done, Ansgar...well done.' he applauded in his thoughts, quite amused by what he had just witnessed.
Vito turned his attention toward the Abra that was now sitting in the same room. Now he was going to be fighting against Doug. His gaze shifted from Doug to the medical room, where he knew Haru was laying unconscious. He was well aware that Haru had been defeated by this Abra before...and he believed more than once. If he managed to defeat Doug like he planned, he knew that it would drive the Lucario insane. On top of this, he would get to test Doug for himself.
This was definitely going to be a battle he would enjoy.
Meanwhile, Jarek's eyes fixed onto the Weavile that was beginning to move toward the machine in the center to take his place. It was then that he snapped the fingers on his bottom-right hand. He had just remembered what he was supposed to do after defeating Ansgar! And what perfect timing, too. 'Man, you are the smartest, Jarek.' he complimented himself before stepping up to him.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot," Jarek started, causing Vito to look up at him. "The boss wants to make absolutely sure that you beat this Doug guy. He said how it was really important that you don't lose...or something. So...uh...don't lose and beat him hard? Yeah, that sounds about right...."
Vito thought about that for a moment. 'So...Damon wants to make absolutely sure that I beat this guy, huh...?' he thought, and smirked. He couldn't help but wonder why this was such an important thing. He shook his head and looked up at Jarek. "Yeah, well it's not like I had any plans to lose. Not to an Abra of all opponents." He returned his gaze back to the machine in the center. "So don't worry your little head. I'll be just fine. Besides...it's not like I can screw up any worse than YOU just did." And with that, he stepped toward the machine and quickly took his seat, leaving a very confused-looking Machamp staring after him.

It was finally time. Doug stood up and made his way to the machine. He still wasn't entirely sure what he was going to do about Vito, but he knew he had to put up a good fight. After seeing that last move, though, Doug was really starting to feel like he didn't belong in this tournament. Even if he could pull off some intense fights, he was in over his head here.
Still, he wasn't going to embarrass himself by dropping out. He would see this out until the end.
Doug sat into the chair and felt himself get pulled into the machine. The emptiness of the Void made it a little better. It was almost impossible to tell they were being watched by crowds of people. Doug's thoughts were even a little clearer. If nothing else, that gave him an advantage he didn't expect to have.

As Vito felt himself get sucked into the machine, everything went dark, just as it had with everyone else. Soon enough, he found himself standing in a plain, white battlefield. He looked around at his surroundings...or lack thereof. So...this was what it felt like to stand in apparently nothing, hm...? He then focused his attention on Doug again as he readied himself for battle. "You don't have anywhere to hide here, Doug," he said with a slight smirk. "I hope you aren't expecting much out of this."
Just then, the countdown began, and Vito crouched slightly, preparing himself. He was ready to see what this Abra could do...and just why Haru had such difficulty in fighting him.
3...2...1....
FIGHT!
As soon as the announcement was made, Vito decided to kick things off. He knew that Doug relied quite a bit on his fast reaction time combined with his Teleporting antics. So, if he could stop that, then that would perhaps be the most efficient way to defeat him. Acting upon the very moment the battle officially began, he took a deep breath...and quickly exhaled, releasing a sudden, frosty burst of air using Icy Wind in Doug's direction. His initial plan? To simply reduce Doug's Speed so that he would find it harder to avoid his future, more devastating moves....

As soon as Vito launched his attack, Doug teleported behind him. "Oh, Vito. I'm dissapointed. That was a weak initial attack from you of all people. Honestly I expected you to know better." If Doug was going to pull this off, he needed Vito to come out guns blazing. With Vito's Pressure ability, fighting him would be exhausting. He needed to make sure Vito felt that exhaustion too.

Vito watched as Doug Teleported away from his attack. He had expected as much...he had given him plenty of time to react. But Doug's choice of placement certainly could have been better. "Maybe I simply like to start things slowly," he replied to the Abra before suddenly bringing his arm around and trying to latch onto Doug's arm as tightly as he could with his claws. He knew how Teleport worked. If he could stay connected to Doug, he was almost certain that the Abra couldn't Teleport anywhere without him.
As Vito attempted to grab Doug's arm, he also brought his opposite arm around. His claws were coated in a dark energy, and he attempted to slash them at the Psychic Pokemon with a Shadow Claw attack.

As soon as he felt Vito grab him, Doug teleported again, this time several feet up in the air. He used Levitate to rest there, not moving. "I'll be honest here, I was nervous walking into this fight not knowing what I was gonna do, but knowing you don't know what you're doing either is a comfort to me. And here I thought you were the guy with all the information. Now that this fight is actually happening, I'm pretty disappointed."
Doug wasn't sure if it was some kind of stage mentality, the fact that he couldn't see the crowd, or his empathy, but for some reason he wasn't nearly as nervous as he thought he would be. He was almost feeling confident. It was a drastic change from just minutes ago.

Vito smirked a bit as he felt Doug disappear. He hadn't gone with him after all, huh? He looked up as Doug began to speak to him, staying levitated in place. So then...there was more to this Teleport move than he had initially thought there was, huh? Well, that could certainly be an interesting little puzzle to work out at some point. However, for now, he had an Abra to deal with more...directly.
"See, here's the difference between you and me," Vito replied, bringing his claws together. "I don't have to have a plan. My opponent is not much of a challenge. Nothing but a sad little piece of work who can't seem to win a fight on his own strength." He concentrated for just a moment, and soon, he had two additional Vito's beside him after using his signature Double Clone move. The three of them then reached out, the clones taking the claws of the original into their own.
Vito then spun himself around, building a decent amount of momentum before he finally released his grip, one right after the other. The two clones he had gripped were ready, and had been sent flying upward, toward the Abra, with solid speed. As the clones began to approach Doug, both had their claws begin to glow with a shadowy aura, and they both attacked at the Psychic-type Pokemon with a powerful Night Slash attack, one aimed at Doug's head and the other at his waist.

Doug thought quickly. He floated back a couple feet to dodge the oncoming clones. It was easy enough.
Then, as soon as the clones reached the apex of the throw, Doug caught them using Levitate, and then allowed them to fall a few feet until they were a couple feet below himself. He didn't like levitating multiple objects at once very much, but for Vito he had to make an exception.
"I don't know Vito. It seems to me like you're already floundering. I mean, you? Not have a plan? That'd be a first." Doug knew this was still too easy. He needed Vito to take this fight very seriously. He needed to tire Vito out. He knew Vito wanted to tire him out as well. At this point, the fight was looking like it would be about efficiency, which as far as Doug knew, that wasn't either of their strong points.

As the two clones that were sent flying toward Doug began to get helplessly caught up by Doug's Levitate, Vito maintained his focus on his next move. He summoned forth a few additional clones around himself, quickly following up the last two with these extra Vito Clones. His diversionary tactic was to focus the Abra's attention on the first wave while readying a second wave immediately afterward.
Furthermore, he had an extra strategy hidden beneath the surface. The Vito still standing on the ground smirked up at Doug as he began to speak again. "Heheh...well, I figured that maybe it would be fun to not have a plan for once." he replied. "As an undefeated participant going up against somebody who has essentially been embarrassingly beaten by every opponent he's faced, I think I have quite a bit of free space to have some fun with you."
In the midst of the chaos that was the various clones being thrown upward in Doug's direction as well as the back-and-forth banter between the two, Vito had mixed something interesting. One of the 'Clones' he had sent flying upward was actually his original body, getting mixed in with the crowd of clones. And every single one of them, original and Clone alike, coated their claws in dark energy, readying to Night Slash at Doug as they came at him.

As the swarm of clones came at him, Doug moved the two clones directly under him, acting as a shield from both Vito's attacks and his line of sight. From there, Doug teleported back to the ground, many yards away from the crowd of Vito still on the ground.
He then extended his arm to 'catch' the Vitae still in the air with his Levitate. From this distance it was a lot easier to treat them like one object. Not to mention in the void there wasn't much else he could Levitate, so focus wasn't really an issue.
Now to REALLY turn Vitos clones against himself. Doug went with the obvious answer at this point. He started lifting the herd... er... flock... whatever of Vitos as high as he could. As he did this, he also moved them directly over himself. He was fairly sure they were at a height from which they would poof out of existence from hitting the ground, but he kept going. He wanted to make sure he did this right.

Two of the Vito still on the ground appeared to be prepared. He smirked and concentrated for a moment...and soon disappeared from view. Hopefully, Doug would be too preoccupied with the Clones above to notice a couple of additional clones disappearing from the small crowd that still stood on the ground.
Meanwhile, one of the other Vito clones standing on the ground smirked and put his claws together, just like before. Soon enough, there were even more Clones standing around him than before.... Once they were in existance, they quickly moved to spread out, covering a decent amount of ground surrounding Doug.
"Heh...what good will your Teleport do you..." one of the Vito clones began to ask.
"...If you have nowhere to go?" another finished.
Meanwhile, however, the two clones that had disappeared began to silently close in on Doug as he held the multiple Vito in the air. As soon as they were close enough, they lunged forward, the first attempting to slam his cupped fists into the back of Doug's head with a Faint Attack. After the first attack, the second would immediately move in by jabbing his knee into the Abra's stomach with his own Faint Attack...and they were both surprisingly powerful attacks given how many clones that Vito still had out.

Doug noticed the Vitos that had disappeared. He had even planned on it. Unfortunately there wasn't much for Doug to do besides brace for the hit.
SMACK. Right in the head, followed by another rough blow to the gut. This threw Doug face down on the ground, forcing him to drop the swarm of Vitos.
Directly on top of the two Vitos who has just attacked him.
As he did this, he teleported up to the space the airborne Vitos had just occupied, still facing the ground. He crossed his arms. "I have to admit, I wasn't totally honest when I said I didn't have a plan. Of course I need a plan against you. Luckily you've provided your own plan. My abilities allow me to go anywhere I want. This causes trouble for a lot of opponents, but not you. You're able to be everywhere I could even think about going. But there's ONE glaring problem with that."
--------------
Meanwhile, outside the arena, all monitors are quickly shifting between what appears to be hundreds of camera angles. The audio is behaving in a similar manner, making whatever was going on completely impossible to view properly.
The Loudred who usually announced the matches approached the Persian in charge of the machine. "What's going on? We can't see a thing!"
"I'm not entirely sure. I think the between the clones and the teleportation, the monitoring devices can't focus. I could fix it if I could shut off the machine without interrupting the match, but at this point, I don't think that's possible. Thankfully they're fighting on the Void otherwise they'd probably be seeing terrain glitches as well. I don't think whatever's going on is actually affecting the fight." The Persian replied. "We just can't see what's happening."
The loudred frowned, "Well even if it did, I guess we could write it off as an arena hazard, but we still need to know the outcome of the match. Can you at least keep track of who gets knocked out?"
"Unfortunately, no. The only monitoring device that could tell us when there's a knockout is the one that ejects the seats when the match is over, and that one isn't built to be reliable for this kind of thing. There's not much I can do. We might be able to piece the footage that we have together to determine the winner of this match, but that could take all night." the Persian clearly wasn't happy about the situation either. This didn't reflect well on her team.
The Loudred turned away, "Well I guess there's nothing to do but wait until those seats eject." Dang it. Why doesn't anything go right in this tournament.

It was a satisfying feeling to the Vito clones that had managed to strike Doug hard with their Faint Attacks. Unfortunately for them, there was something they had not yet taken into account. However, thankfully, it wouldn't be too difficult to come back from this. The Clones that had been thrown into the air either hit the ground or fell on top of one of the two clones that had just struck Doug. Whatever the case, all of them disappeared in a small puff of smoke.
All except for one, that is. This Vito twisted around and managed to land on his feet. He crouched, bending his knees as he hit the ground to soften the impact...but he wasn't done. This Vito, the original, re-extended his knees and leapt up into the air. He could potentially try another Faint Attack, but such a move wasn't quite as effective in the air, since he would only have one direction to travel in, and it would be a simple matter for Doug to Teleport away. So instead, he decided on something different.
As Vito rushed upward, making sure that there were enough clones on the ground in case Doug Teleported back down, he inhaled deeply before unleashing the same cold breath of air that he had in the beginning of the match. He unleashed his Icy Wind attack upward at his Psychic-type opponent. It may not cause much actual damage, but again, it would work to slow Doug down, making it harder for him to Teleport away.
Vito did want to respond to Doug...however, at the moment, his mouth as rather...preoccupied, so he kept it to himself for now. It could always wait until this little exchange was completely finished.

Doug saw the real Vito hit the ground. He knew it was the real Vito due to the fact that he still existed even after hitting the ground. Doug braced himself for Vito's counterattack. "The problem is..." Doug teleported away before Vito could hit him.
And reappeared in the middle of a group of Vitos. "You exist everywhere." And it was true. From where he was standing, if any Vito tried to take a swing at him, it was highly likely they would hit another clone if Doug teleported away, which he fully planned to do.

The moment the Abra disappeared from above him, Vito knew what was going to happen. He turned around in the air and looked downward, seeing Doug now standing on the ground below, amidst a large group of clones. He was curious as to see what Doug was going to do now. But one thing was certain. That Teleport move was getting rather annoying. He knew that that move would have to be properly dealt with eventually. However, he couldn't help but admit that the idea of studying Teleport against such a weak opponent amused him.
When Doug reappeared amidst the Clones, they all let a small smirk cross their faces. They were well aware that they could get hit by their own attacks. While they weren't afraid to do so to run the possibility of causing a lot of damage, a better idea ocurred to some of them.
Several of the Vito clones that surrounded Doug didn't hesitate. However, instead of charging, they brought their claws together and began to blast a barrage of Ice shards at the Abra, hoping that the sheer speed of the attack would be enough to hit him before he could Teleport away.
However, the few that were the rest of the group immediately surrounding Doug decided to instead cause his small to begin to enlarge and attempted to get at Doug's body and drain his strength to Teleport, using Spite.

Doug knew he couldn't afford to stay for more than a split second. He quickly teleported to another part of the mob of Vitos, hoping a few Vitos left behind would end up hitting each other. "Too slow!" Doug hollered, hoping to attract the attention of this new group.
Doug was hoping Vito using spite on himself would effect him enough to keep this fight even. All this teleporting and levitating was already taking its toll on Doug, and the Pressure he was feeling in this fight didn't help matters. If he started taking those Spite attacks, he knew he may as well kiss any shot he had at winning this fight goodbye. So he had to keep going.

Just as Doug Teleported away, the Spite and Ice Shard attacks connected with the opposite clones. The small group involved ended up disappearing in a small puff of smoke. However, it didn't take much time for new Clones to appear in their place. A split second of shuffling around later, and they quicky filled in the small gap that had formed from the disappearing clones. It was certainly going to take a lot more if Doug hoped to thin out this crowd a bit more.
No sooner had Doug reappeared amongst the many Vito clones when they jumped him. Eight Vitos attempted to slash claws, throw a punch or a kick at the Abra...each one using the Beat Up move, which will only get stronger because of how many clones were attacking at the same time. "You can call us slow all you like, kid." a random voice from amongst the mass of black, red and white. "But it doesn't change the fact that you're out of your league here. Your Teleport is the only reason you can win...because it overwhelms your opponent by simulating a battle against multiple foes. But here...it doesn't work. You're the one who's overwhelmed now. You can't win on your own strength, since it's rather nonexistent.
"And you know it, don't you...?" the voice finished, the source smirking as the Beat Up attacks struck at Doug as quickly as they could, in the hopes of hitting him before he could Teleport away.

Doug listened to what Vito had to say. He had to admit Vito was sort of right. He wasn't really going to win on his own strength. This whole fight was going to take far too much effort if he couldn't get Vito to really start exhausting his energy. "Hey Vito" He said as the clones neared him again. "I've got one thing to say about that." At that instant he teleported away again, this time high into the air, leaving the Vitos to target each other yet again.
"Stop hitting yourself."

The Vitos once more struck each other with their own attacks. However, once more, it seemed very inconsequential to the Weavile, as a few more Clones poofed into existence. A little bit of shuffling later caused the small gap in the crowd that Doug's Teleport had cleared to be filled once more. It seemed that every time Doug was able to make a few of the clones disappear, two more would appear in their place. Vito was ensuring that he held nothing back in his attempt to overwhelm Doug and show how pathetic his tactics truly were.
Although, he was going to pretend that he didn't hear Doug's last line.
Meanwhile, Vito continued to relentlessly attack Doug, refusing to give the Abra even a second to breathe. The moment Doug Teleported high into the air, the Vito's acted once more, leaping swiftly into the air, assisting one another as necessary. In the end, there were three Vito in the air, all slashing at Doug with a move they hoped would start wrapping this battle up...a powerful Night Slash attack.
