((This is my last post on this thread, which still needs to be replied to.)) Haru didn't say anything or respond in any way to anything anybody said anymore. The moment he was strong enough to get moving again, he'd love to. If he got the chance to beat on that Jax and Julia, he'd jump at it. But, as it stood now, he couldn't do anything but accept their help. Even if he tried to resist, they would help him anyway. There was simply nothing he could do about it. Not even the jab at Jason would make him crack a smirk. He glanced over at Julia as she walked away. When she was out of sight, he muttered, "She seems rather full of herself." Perhaps this was a bit...hypocritical, but he didn't seem to realize it at the very least. Haru looked over at Jax and muttered, "Listen you...if you're going to be watching over us or...whatever, then I suggest that you at least just say what's on your mind. Particularly now that your superior seems to be gone. Things will go over a lot more smoothly I'm sure if you just say what you're really thinking. It's pretty obvious you don't like us here...why is that?" Normally Haru wasn't the type to ask questions like that...because he rarely ever cared very much about anything else at all. But quite frankly...he was bored already. He needed SOMETHING to do...talking may not be as enjoyable as battling...but since he couldn't do anything else, he decided to just go with the former.

At first, Jax thought Haru was just going to lay on the ground all day and feel sorry for himself. That would have made him a much easier, and more pleasant patient to look after. Such a thought was too good to be true, however. As soon as chief Julia was walking away, Haru was back to running his smart mouth. "What a strong Pokemon you must be, to sneer at our leader behind her back." He growled. It was true that he didn't always agree with the decisions that chief Julia made, but it was also obvious that he had respect for her.
Doctor or not, Jax felt sure that he was going to find it hard to sincerely care for these patients' well being after awhile. The Lucario just kept talking in his usual disrespectful way...and the Pikachu wasn't really much better.
Jason just scoffed at the way Jax was staring at them. Haru was right, that Houndour did not like them at all. "Yeah, what's with the attitude, anyway? Shouldn't doctors be a little more humble?"He questioned bravely. In his mind, it seemed like Jax had a bad attitude, and he assumed it was because he was the head doctor. He must have thought he was special or something.
A small period of silence followed after Haru and Jason had finished talking. 'I have plenty of reasons to not want either of you here.' Jax didn't want to tell either of the two Pokemon too much, so he came up with a simple answer. "You both seem rather full of yourselves. "

After a few moments of silence after the Houndour's words...a strange noise came from Haru. It almost sounded like...a chuckle? Oh, that's because it was just that. A chuckle. Strange sound to be heard from Haru. But he couldn't help himself. He had found Jax's final statement rather amusing. "...Heheh...well maybe you're right." Haru said with a smirk. "Maybe we are full of ourselves...but then again, when you're strong enough to take on two members of the Dimensional Guard on even ground, you have room to be." Perhaps he was saying a bit much...but he simply wanted to show this little Houndour that he had what it took to twist a single one of them into a pretzel if he was feeling alright.
Haru looked around the room again just to get another view of his surroundings.... It was important to always know what was around you, after all. Especially if they had to make a quick getaway for some reason. It was then that a thought crossed his mind.... Had these Pokemon left a trail for the Dimensional Guard to follow...? If they sent out a couple more agents after the first two warped back...and some kind of trail led them here...there was no way he could fight them off again. Not in his condition. They needed to recover and get out of here as soon as possible.

At first, Jason was angry at what Jax said. "Full of ourselves, huh? I wouldn't be talking, doc'!" He grumbled, only raising his voice at the end. He didn't have enough energy to do much more. Believe it or not, it actually wasn't that easy to talk tough when recovering from painful injuries, even for him. "Hah! Maybe we are full of ourselves. But taking on the Dimensional Guard was nothing! And we'll be taking on stronger Pokemon in the future. " Jason grinned. If things kept going the way they were, he was sure that Haru and he were going to be the strongest Pokemon in the Dimension. And after that happened, he would be able to challenge Haru to another battle...battle to end all battles. In other words, a rematch since their first battle had gotten interrupted.
The Houndour didn't say anything for a short while, and only stared at them. It would be a waste of time, to mention that the tribe of Cinders didn't deal with the Dimensional Guard. It would be a bigger waste of time to explain that, because the two groups never came into contact with each other, the tribe didn't recognize the strength and power of the Dimensional Guard as much as other Pokemon in the dimension did. Talking to them at all, as far as Jax was becoming concerned, was just going to be a waste of time in general. He wouldn't have said anything in response if it wasn't for Jason's prompting.
"What do you have to say to that, Doctor?" The Pikachu asked with a grin, as he crossed his arms. Jax blinked and frowned some more, if that was even possible. He followed Haru's gaze around the room. The area was simple, a large den of some kind made out of rock. Plain, but clean, suitable for a tribal doctor's patients to stay. "We're in one tribe's medical dens for patients. Enjoy your stay, and do try to behave." It was just another way of saying "I don't care".

Haru took note of Jason's words and smirked slightly. "Jason, I don't know about that...." he said. This was going to be fun. "...I recall having to save your miserable tail quite a few times during that battle." His smirk grew more obvious...he was looking for a reaction from the Pikachu more than anything. Then, for some odd reason...evolution came to mind. His mind had gone to the fact that he'd just evolved in that last battle. And Jason had remained the same. How was it that Pikachu evolved again...? Haru couldn't remember, and his head was foggy anyway. He decided to forget it, but realized that Jason would probably look a heck of a lot more impressive if he were a Raichu....
Haru heard the Houndour's words and shrugged them off. He knew that the Houndour was pretty much simply ignoring them. That was fine.... The moment he was back to full strength, he'd be out of here anyway. He needed to get back to his search of...wait. What were they even searching for again...? He never remembered ever actually figuring out what it was. Just...something that the Dimensional Guard wanted to keep hidden. They still needed to go looking for whatever it was.... But they had since gotten side-tracked on some kind of search-and-rescue mission for this restaurant manager.
...Come to think of it...what had happened to that guy? He opened his mouth and asked Jason about it. "...Jason...what do you think happened to that restaurant manager guy...that we tried to rescue from those Dimensional Guard? Do you think he left to try to get back to his store or something...?" Personally, he honestly didn't care what happened to the guy...but if he had been captured again, that would mean that he had failed his little 'mission' and that was not going to sit well with him.

Getting a reaction out of the Houndour wasn't as easy as Jason thought it would be. This only added to his belief that it was the doctor who had the real attitude problem. Though, he started to reconsider his belief as soon as Haru started talking again. "Hah hah! Very funny Haru!" Jason snapped, suddenly jumping to his feet. "I recall having to save you miserable tail just as many times!" He was now pointing at Haru accusingly. Jason folded his arms and smirked then, calming down. "And the last time I saved your sorry butt, you evolved. So I guess that just means I'll have to save your bigger, fatter behind in the future." He laughed before suddenly grunting, and falling over.
Houndour, who was kind of amused by the sight, now seemed bored again. "Avoid getting up suddenly. We don't want you to break something. Especially not your back, which is probably hurting right now from the small stunt you just pulled. It could result in paralysis and there's no promise that it would be temporary." He lectured in a monotone voice before closing his eyes and resting his head on his front paws. Jason twitched. "Shut upppp!" He yelled. The Houndour was right, Jason's back was indeed hurting right now.
Haru asked a good question. What had become of that Lickitung? The last thing Jason remembered, the Lickitung was running away from the scene of the fight. Or at least, that's what he thought he remember. "We held the guards off while fatso ran away." Jason huffed. "Yeah, I'd say he got out just fine. He's probably back at his store right now, eating everything he cooks, or whatever." He added with a smirk.

Haru growled in annoyance at Jason's response. It was true, and he knew it. But he didn't care. He still hated to hear the words form the Pikachu. He actually felt a bit satisfied when he heard Jason's grunt of pain. If he were feeling up to it, he would have given to Pikachu a good punch anyway. Sure, he probably should care about what the Houndour said after that...but it was fun to see Jason in pain without him having to do something.
He nodded at what Jason said afterward. "...Maybe we should head back to town just to make sure hea ctually made it." he grumbled, crossing his arms. "If there's one thing I can't stand it's failing. I want to make sure our job is done before we go back to looking for...whatever it was we were looking for." But then he realized that they weren't going to get anywhere like this. They were too injured to walk anywhere. "...But for now, I guess we don't have a choice but to get some rest until we're back to normal." He hated to admit the Houndour and Houndoom were right...but this was too important for his pride to force him out of here. For all they knew, they could be ambushed by the Guard the moment they left.

Another grunt came from Jason, but this time it was directed toward what Haru said instead of his pain. "He's probably fine. I don't want to waste my time with him, do you?" He really didn't want to have to go check on the Likitung. Failure bugged him too, normally, but he wouldn't mind making an exception for that fatty. What was his name again? Oh yeah, Mr. Moxie. No meal was worth all of this trouble, no matter how good a cook Mr. Moxie was. And what about that greedy restaurant owner, Mr. McBucks? "Then again..." Jason sat up and folded his arms. "Maybe we should pay Mr. McBucks another visit. You know...in case Mr. Moxie is having some trouble with him. We could "help" him with his boss." He said with a grin.
"Doctor? Doctor, are you in here...?" Another Houndour came into the room at that moment, interrupting Jason's thoughts. He walked over to Jax who simply nodded at him. "The chief wishes to see you." At that, Jax seemed to be a little surprised, as though he wasn't sure why Chief Julia would want to see him. It didn't matter though. Chief Julia wanted to see him and that was all he needed to know. "Right away. Watch the patients, until I get back." He said, getting up. Jax left the room without looking back. The other Houndour walked over to where Jax was sitting and stood there.
"Where are you going?" Jason asked, but Jax was already out of the room. "Grrr..." Jason decided to try and turn his thoughts away from Jax's attitude and focus on something else. "...hey, Haru! I can't believe we almost forgot. What about that trench coat guy?" The last thing he remembered was following the trench coat guy's cryptic notes.

(My first attempted 3DS reply...takin' so long, I'm not gonna bother with typos. xP
Jason's words brought the thought of that Loudred to his mind. That Mr. McBucks had REALLY gotten on his nerves when they'd met.... Perhaps then, a little visit to that loudmouth would be enough of a reason to check up on whether or not Mr. Moxie had made it back safely or not. Truth be told, he didn't care about Mr. Moxie either.... But if they were able to find that Loudred at the same time...that would make the trip that much more worthwhile.
He had been too preoccupied with his thoughts to notice that another Houndour had come to call Jax away. Only Jason's voice snapped him out of it, and he looked up. He couldn't help but chuckle at Jason's reaction. Perhaps this Houndour wasn't as bad as he'd initially thought. And then, Jason brought another peculiar character to mind. That mysterious, fire-breathing Pokemon that had given them the note they'd followed to begin this mission. "You're right...." he mumbled. There were now thoughts of three different Pokemon swarming his head right now. "So now we have three different reasons to head back to Jarikar.... But should we head back so soon?"
To be honest, this canyon had piqued his curiosity...particularly the fact that the Dimensional Guard had picked this area to lay their trap. "I've been thinking.... Why did they set up their trap here? Did they just pick it at random or...could there be some other reason...?" He couldn't help but think that there could be more here than what met the eye. His head started pounding slightly, as though on overload. THIS was why he never thought this hard about anything. Either way, this was an important topic...and required such thought.

(Nice job, all things considering xD;. )
Jason sat there and pondered for awhile. He wanted to know more about that trench coat Pokemon then anyone else, and who could blame him? Mr. Moxie and Mr. McBucks were no where near as interesting as a Pokemon who's species they didn't know. "I bet he's a Fire-type..." That seemed like an obvious enough observation, but there were some Pokemon out there that could use fire attacks that weren't Fire-types. "...and he must be pretty big to have to ride around on a Staraptor..." Jason added, remembering when they first saw him in Jarikar City. There was no guarantee that the trench coat Pokemon would be there when they went back.
The Houndour who was watching them looked up when Jason mentioned Fire-types. He had been given strict orders not to talk to the patients, and so didn't say anything. He was curious though, and started to listen to what Haru and Jason were talking about. He had never heard of a Pokemon who dressed in a trench coat. For most Pokemon, that would be like walking around with an oversized accessory. In fact, a Fire-type could easily manage to catch a trench coat on fire. A confused look started to form on his face and he frowned. Whatever Pokemon they were after either wasn't too bright, or was a master of movement.
"Hey..." The Houndour snapped out of his own thoughts and looked up at Jason. "Are you going to be here long?" Jason asked, nearly glaring at the Houndour. He knew their guard was listening in on their conversation. But the Houndour just stared back without saying anything. If Jax was summoned by the chief, there was a good chance he'd be gone for awhile. It was just as well, Jason decided. The doctor probably wasn't going to talk to them any more then the guard, which was too bad. Some of the tribe could probably answer some of their questions, if they were allowed to.
"I have no idea. But most Pokemon don't come to the canyon." Jason looked at one of the room's walls. " I mean, why would they? And I'm sure the Dimensional Guard wanted to capture us with as little interruption as possible." There wasn't a Smochum or anything around to save them if they got in trouble.

Haru sighed and looked around again. Well either way, they weren't going to get anywhere like this. They needed to just...rest and wait until they were ready to leave. There was no way they could leave with their current injuries. They didn't have a choice. It infuriated Haru to be left in the care of these miserable little mutts, but he took solace in the fact that, the moment they were finished, he could go back to "talk" to this McBucks again.
At the same time, they could look for signs of the trench coat Pokemon. That Pokemon who had left them that note...and then led them into that whole mess. That ambush with the Dimensional Guard. But Riolu and Lucario did not use Fire-type attacks. So he wasn't a member of the Guard. Was he working for them...? There would only be one way to find answers...and that would be to track them down somehow. To find for any signs that a Staraptor had been flying or landing anywhere. They had to get back to town.
But again, that brought him back to the fact that they couldn't leave. And the longer they stayed here, the less chance they would have of finding that Pokemon. He sighed again and just leaned back once more, shutting his eyes to try to calm himself down. It would do no good to fret over something he couldn't help. "I guess..." Haru muttered in response to Jason's words. He still couldn't help but think that there was more to this Canyon than what met the eye. But there really wasn't anything else to it but his gut feeling. He figured he should just drop it for now. They could always come back if they discovered something later on, anyway.

Some shuffling could be heard from outside of the room. The guard Houndour looked up to see yet another Houndour walk into the room. It wasn't the doctor from before, but they could tell that this Houndour worked in the medical dens, due to the strong smell of herbs that lingered on her. "It's night time now, which means lights out for our patients." She looked over at the only sources of light in the room. There were two candles, one on the east wall and one on the west, that were being used to light up the room. "The doctor will return in the morning to watch over you. Until then, please try to get some rest." She added quietly before walking out of the room.
The guard Houndour sighed inaudibly, happy that his shift was over. Not that he had been there long, but watching patients like this was always a bother and a bore. "You heard the nurse." His first words to them. "It's time for bed. May you make a speedy recovery." He said as he got up and put out the candles. When the candles were out, the room was pitch black. The Houndour didn't seem to be effected and just simply walked over to the door. "It's impossible to escape in your condition." He added before pulling over a large piece of cloth that covered the door way. Even prisoners had some privacy in the medical dens, it seemed.
"Smart arse..." Jason grumbled when the Houndour left the room. He could hardly see anything, it was so dark. He wasn't thinking of escaping, because he knew that if they tried, they really would have a hard time. There was no source of light in their room; not even a window. There were probably guards and nurses outside. Unless they could break through the solid rock walls of their room, they weren't going anywhere. "I'm going to sleep." Jason said, and laid back. There wasn't anything else to do.

Haru was quiet as the other Houndour appeared and declared that it was night. That was fast...they must have been out cold for longer than he had imagined. Oh well...he supposed there was nothing he could do about it now. He glanced over at Jason when he said he was going to get some sleep, and he nodded to himself. He figured there was no point in wondering about the situation they were in until they could do something about it. He couldn't help but smirk a little at Jason's first two words. He completely agreed with the Pikachu. If he was able to, he would have loved to teach these Pokemon some manners...but that probably wouldn't get them anywhere.
So, he layed back and tried to clear his mind of the various thoughts travelling around in his head. Every thought about mysterious Pokemon, Loudreds, and even Houndour were slowly swept from his mind, and eventually a light slumber took him over.

The medical dens were quiet for the whole night. It wasn't that eerie silence that was often shown in movies, or the sad, desperate silence that sometimes occurred in hospitals. A peaceful, calm silence filled the whole area. Needless to say, Jason and Haru didn't have any problem falling asleep.
Due to there being no openings in the room, except for the doorway which only led into a hallway, it was impossible to tell if it was morning or not. But that didn't matter to Jason's stomach, who's loud growling had caused him to wake up. "Urgh..." He wiped the drool from his mouth and looked around. If it wasn't morning yet, it was going to be soon. 'I wonder if they're going to feed us...' Jason's thoughts trailed off as his eyes soon fell upon the answer. There was a huge bowl in front of them. "When did...?" Jason hadn't heard anyone come into the room and he didn't consider himself a heavy sleeper. It was possible that Houndour could be very quiet when they needed to be, but that just seemed like a strange thought to Jason. "...Whatever..." He mumbled before crawling over to the bowl to see what was inside.
He had to admit, he wasn't disappointed. The bowl was full of berries. They were all common, but since they were meant to be eaten, their rarity really didn't matter anyhow. "Haru! Get up!" Jason said before picking up an Oran berry. "The mutts finally did something right. Breakfast!" He added before biting into the berry.

Haru had a quick, dreamless sleep. When he was suddenly awakened by his Pikachu friend over there, he knew he didn't exactly get a good night's sleep. He didn't feel well-rested, but at least most of the pain from the day before was gone. He winced slightly as he slowly sat up.... It was still rough, but at least he wasn't lying flat on his back anymore, unable to do anything else. He looked over at the bowl and realized that he hadn't had a decent meal in quite a while. His stomach rumbled slightly, and he tried to cover it with a slight. "Hmph..." sound.
He reached over and grabbed whatever Berry was closest to him - yet another Oran Berry, and ate it almost a bit too hastily. It was tasty, he had to admit...and he quickly picked up another Berry and ate that one as well. He hated to admit it...but these Houndour sure had access to some fresh and delicious Berries. He glanced over at Jason as they continued to eat...he wondered if they would be able to leave as soon as they were finished. He wanted to get out of this place as quickly as he could.

Once Haru had started eating, Jason felt like it would be alright if he started to eat faster. He hadn't had a good meal in awhile either and was only holding back on his appetite so that Haru could wake up. But now that his friend was awake and had a chance to start eating, he didn't have to hold back any longer. "Finally!" Jason grabbed a berry, and then another one. "It took them awhile to finally start feeding us. They probably treat us worse then the rest of their patients, or something." He said before he started to shovel more berries into his mouth. At this rate, he was going to end up eating the few Cherri and Pecha berries that were sprinkled into the bowl.
Or at least he would of, if a growl didn't interrupt his gobbling. "No." Was the only word heard before Jax walked back into the room. "We treat all of our patients the same. Those who practice medicine in our tribe would not dare to treat a patient any differently from the others." He said sternly. However, Jason wasn't put off by the grit in Jax's voice. He looked up slyly from the Pecha berry he was holding. "Oh yeah? What if you were ordered to treat a patient badly?" Jax narrowed his eyes at the Pikachu. As the tribe's doctor, that would put him in a far more difficult position then Jason realized. "Chief Julia would never order such a thing." Jax said with confidence. After all, such a thing had never happened before.
"...Hmpth. Whatever." Jason just shrugged and went back to shoveling berries into his mouth. Jax sat down and stared at the two for a moment. "When you gluttons are done eating, Chief Julia wants a word with you."

Haru continued to eat some of the berries for himself, but not nearly at the speed Jason was shoveling them down. He couldn't help but stare for a moment at Jason. All this time, and he still had a hard time completely understanding him. Well, whatever...they had bigger fish to fry right now. He picked up another Pecha Berry and starting eating that, not bothering to answer Jason's statements. He didn't even really have the time to anyway. Jax had interjected with his own words. How annoying.
He smirked a bit at Jason's question, and at Jax's response. He couldn't help but notice that he'd completely dodged the question. Oh well...he supposed it didn't really matter to him anyway. However, he was quickly given an order. That caused him to scowl a bit. "Listen you, I don't take orders from anybody." he muttered, taking another bite out of the Berry he was still holding. "Why should we just keep doing whatever the heck you stupid mutts want us to, when we'll be out of here soon enough anyway?"
