It's fairly simple to get a character and a journey up and running on DN2. Just follow these steps...
For new members:
1. Register an account on the site, if you haven't done so already.
2. Go to the "Create a Profile" board.
3. Check out the Starter Frequency thread and determine what Basic Pokemon you would like to take the form of.
4. Copy the basic character template, and read the instructions carefully.
5. Make a new thread. Fill out the template according to the instructions.
6. Wait for a moderator to post in your thread. We're not online 24/7, so it may take a day or two.
7. If they didn't accept it, follow the moderator's instructions and edit your profile. (DO NOT make a new thread.) The moderator will go over it again.
8. When you are accepted, wait for the moderator to create a thread with your character in the "Accepted Profiles" board. Be sure to consider anything they might have said along with the acceptation message.
9. When you see your profile in the Accepted Profiles board, please put a link to it in your signature. (A quick note: as a personal touch, if you're accepted by me, you can expect to have an animated B/W sprite in your profile...unless you're using a custom sprite of course~)
10. In your character's Profile, make additional posts as necessary for your items and threads and whatever else you want to keep in your Profile. (If you need to, look at other profiles for examples of how to do this.)
11. You may now begin your journey! Start by posting a thread in the board you decided to start on. A moderator will soon reply, and before long you will be up and running!
For migrating from the old site:
1. Your profile(s) will have already been transferred from the old site. Look for it in Accepted Profiles. If it/they aren't in there, let a staff member know and they'll transfer them for you ASAP.
2. Be sure to make a post in your profile thread(s) with the items that you have obtained, as well as the old threads that your character(s) were in (optional).
4. Post in the appropriate board. A moderator will get to you shortly, and probably even sooner because you're a veteran!
