{Welcome aboard, passengers. Beyond is just a little roleplay thing in the big universe. The story will begin here on DN2 but soon...well, you shall see....}
Jet Mann had been hard at work ever since returning to Dr. Porygon's Laboratory in the heart of the Aina Forest. The young Buizel had wanted to make good on his promise to assist his good friend, the scientist who owned the facility named Dr. Porygon, with some of his most recent, interesting research. The idea of space travel was intriguing to him. He had learned plenty about outer space back in his own dimension, when he was still a human Pokémon Trainer. However, just what outer space would look like in THIS dimension was something else entirely. It intrigued him to think of the possibilities. Astronomy had always been an interesting scholarly topic for him...but to think that he might get the opportunity to see what outer space looked like in a completely different dimension...! Would it be similar? Drastically different? Maybe there would be more life closer to the planet? He just couldn't wait to learn more....
But unfortunately, that had nothing to do with what Jet was busy with right now. Instead of sitting at a desk with Dr. Porygon, poring over plans and research like he had expected...he was moving boxes out of the way. When he had asked Dr. Porygon if he could do anything to help with his research, the Virtual Pokémon had replied that he could help move these boxes out of his laboratory. They were full of all kinds of old junk that he had been wanting to throw or somehow get rid of for a while now. Jet distinctly remembered him even shifting through these boxes (or at least, boxes like these) when they had first met. Not wanting to press the matter, he had reluctantly agreed...and now here he was
Unfortunately, however, his smaller-framed Buizel body was not really accustomed to such manual labor. And it certainly didn't help that he was somewhat lacking in upper body strength. As Jet struggled to carry out a particularly heavy box (for him at least), he tried to distract himself. Thankfully, he had another good friend of his helping out. He glanced back toward the door as he walked outside, toward where the other boxes were stacked under a nearby tree.
"I-I can't thank you enough for the help, Tanen," Jet said, stuttering slightly under the weight of the box. "Y-your new form is so much better at this than I am...." He tried to catch sight of the Scizor's orange body. The two had recently gone on an expedition after Jet had discovered the location of a Power Lemonade, to help his friend Tanen, who had rather disliked his previous Scyther form, evolve into a better form.
Unfortunately, due to this distraction, he failed to properly maintain himself and his balance. Jet soon started to lose his grip on the box, causing him to stumble a bit. "W-wah...!" he cried out as he stumbled forward, desperately trying to regain his balance. He was unable to do so, however, and he fell forward, landing hard on his stomach with a thud. As a result of the fall, the box fell from his hand and accidental thrown to the ground, causing its contents to become spilled across the surrounding grass. "AH...!" he cried out again as he hit the ground. "Oh no...." Jet mumbled dejectedly before letting out a small sigh, still laying on the grass from his fall. "Why can't I ever do anything right these days...?"

Tanen was in an uncharacteristically good mood as he helped to carry the boxes of junk. For the first time since coming to this place -- hell, maybe the first time in his life -- things were really looking up for him. While he disliked Bug-types as a rule and Scizor was still a bug, he had to admit he was quite fond of the more metallic -- and way cooler -- evolution of Scyther. Not to mention having something resembling actual hands. Even better, he now had someone he could actually consider a friend. Even with a friend like Jet, though, Tanen was still not quite willing to completely lower his facade. As such, he'd never let on how unbelievably excited he was about the idea of space.
Tanen actually chuckled a little in response to Jet's thanks. "Well, you were the one who figured out how to get that Power Lemonade, so I should be thanking you," he replied, moments before the Buizel tumbled to the ground. Tanen stifled a small laugh -- Jet probably wasn't too amused, after all -- and hurried over. Setting down his own box, he reached over to help his friend up and start gathering the scattered debris. "I think we may need to find a Power Lemonade for you, next," he teased.

Jet had already managed to climb back to his feet and turn the box back upright once more by the time Tanen had made his way over and set his box down. He allowed a small smile to cross his lips, despite his situation, when the Scizor started helping him clean up his mess. "Ah, don't worry about that," he replied, referring to the Power Lemonade situation. "It wasn't exactly difficult to figure out that you didn't like that Scyther form...so I wanted to help with that if I could. And...well, I figured you might like Scizor a bit better. Most people do."
However, a small red blush appeared on Jet's face as Tanen joked about finding a Power Lemonade for himself. "A-ah..." he murmured, pausing for a moment. It had been a small joke at his status and smaller stature, so he naturally didn't take it all that seriously. But even so, he couldn't help but be slightly embarrassed about it. "W-well I don't think that's necessary anyway," he continued. "After all, I'm fine with myself the way I am. Even if I might not be the most...er...physically capable."
Truth be told, he had no plans to evolve, even if he ever got to the natural point of a Buizel's evolution. For some reason, the idea of becoming a Floatzel bothered him. However, he said nothing about this and continued to help Tanen put the rest of the computer parts into the box again. "Th-thanks..." he murmured lowly in a slightly shamed tone. "A-again. Sorry...it just seems like I'm such a bother to you a lot of the time." Truth be told, he had been very reliant on Tanen's abilities recently. He himself wasn't all that strong, where Tanen was clearly a much more competent fighter. The best he could usually do was sit back and come up with a plan. Assuming he even had the time to do so. At that thought, he let out another small sigh. He really wished there was a way for him to get permanently stronger without necessarily going through evolution....

Tanen grinned as Jet spoke about helping him evolve. "Well, you were right about that. Scizor is awesome!"
At Jet's next statement, however, Tanen's face fell. "Hey, you know I was joking, right? If you don't want to evolve that's cool too." His frown only deepened when the Buizel continued talking. "Woah woah woah, stop. Didn't we just go over this? I wouldn't have become a Scizor without your help. Heck, I pretty definitely wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for you. Who was it who saved my *** from psycho-Furret, again?" As pep-talks went it was a bit rough, but Tanen hoped it was enough to get through that thick self-pitying skull and remind his friend of how helpful he could be. "C'mon, let's finish getting this stuff cleared out so maybe we can get a glimpse at what the Doc's working on," he suggested, hoping to direct Jet's attention to something other than his worries.

Jet nodded. "Y-yeah, I know you were just kidding around," he replied with a small smile. He looked away from Tanen as the Scizor continued talking, however. He knew that what Tanen was saying was right, but even still, he felt like he had just been lucky throughout all of that. He had only been able to find out where that Power Lemonade was from investigating in the town a short distance away. And that was definitely the easier of the two tasks that he'd mentioned. "I-I may have helped you beat that Furret," Jet replied. "B-but I feel like it was just me being lucky. By all rational thought and logic patterns, it should have been natural for him to beat me." He shook his head before continuing, "But please, don't feel the need to try to talk me out of that. I've already accepted it...and I'm fine with it. As long as it doesn't interfere with what I feel is right, of course."
However, Tanen's next words caused him to smile a bit more brightly. The Scizor's change of the subject worked like a charm. "Y-yeah!" he said with a bit more enthusiasm. He finally dropped the last piece of junk into the box and closed its top flaps. "I can't wait to see what Dr. Porygon is doing in there. To think, we might get to learn what's in space out here in this dimension sometime soon! Honestly, it's something I've thought about now and again since waking up in those plains."
As he spoke, he looked down at the box and thought about this. Well, he already had it outside. Perhaps he could simply...push it the rest of the way rather than carry it and risk tripping again? He nodded at that. It was probably the best action to take right now. And so, he lowered his body to all fours and began to push the box using his shoulder. It seemed awkward to a human like him...but at least his Buizel body was used to moving things this way, so it seemed easier than it would been in his human form.

Tanen found himself at a loss for words at Jet's response. He couldn't decide whether to be sympathetic or furious. "What?! But-- I-- You-- Argh!" He quickly gave up with a swear. Not worth pursuing it.
Fortunately, Jet had eagerly latched on to the offered subject change and Tanen was honestly pretty glad for it too. "Heh, I guess it would be kinda cool to see space. Wonder if it's different from our dimension," he mused. Despite his best efforts to mask it, a trace of his excitement crept into his voice. He quickly retrieved his box and continued toward the pile. He reached it fairly quickly and turned to Jet with a grin. "Hey, those were the last two, right? Let's go pester Dr. Porygon and see what he's up to!"

Drowning out all other sounds and speech in the area, the air was suddenly filled with the blare of a loud alarm siren, originating from Dr. Porygon's lab. Mere seconds later, the alarm abruptly cut off in a very unnatural fashion.
"Ah, so he already changed the combination... so much for this being a cakewalk." The voice, having an eerie calmness to it, sounded like it echoed from every direction simultaneously, to anyone who could hear it. "Perhaps I could at least use this new form to convince Porygon or one of his assistants to let me in." It sounded, in fact, like a stream of conscious thought broadcast throughout the entire forest, unbeknownst to its owner. "As for the alarm, I could easily pass myself off as absentmindedly mistaking the back entrance for the front..."
After a moment or two, a levitating green figure appeared around the corner of the lab. Upon closer inspection, one would be able to identify it as a Reuniclus, clearly not the sort of Pokemon one might expect to find in the surrounding forest. The Reuniclus immediately spotted Jet and Tanen gathering a pile of boxes by a tree near the lab and stopped briefly, as though surprised to see anyone nearby, but resuming shortly afterward. "Hello!" The Psychic-type Pokemon cheerfully greeted. "Might you be working for the famous researcher and inventor Dr. Porygon? I myself am a fledgling scientist, and would love the opportunity to talk to such an esteemed cornerstone of the scientific community."

Jet ignored Tanen's initial outburst, but instead simply dropped it and nodded at his last words. He could feel the hidden sense of excitement that Tanen's tone betrayed. He smiled a bit and considered making a joke himself...but decided against it. Poking fun at somebody wasn't really something he liked to do, even if it was just a joke. "Yeah, those should be the last of them," he replied. "I agree. Let's-!"
But before Jet could finish his thought, though, a deafening sound struck his ears. "AH!" he cried out, instinctively reaching up to place his paws at the side of his head. It was just a desperate attempt to block out the sound, but it still came through. Soon though, the alarm was stopped and Jet lowered his paws again. 'W-wait...' Jet muttered to himself. Then his eyes widened with shock. 'Th-that could only have been Dr. Porygon's...!' But even these thoughts were interrupted suddenly by...a strange voice?
Jet stopped and listened to the words of this strange voice. At first, he looked around for its source, but quickly realized that the voice seemed to be inside of his head. He looked at Tanen for some kind of confirmation that he could hear it too. It was clear from the sound of things and the word choice that this was not directed at them. So then why could they hear it? And just who did this voice belong to?
His answer came shortly as a Reuniclus soon rounded the corner of the lab and stopped when seeing them. This was strange...he had been in this forest many times, and for long enough periods of times to know the kinds of Pokémon that usually inhabited this forest. A Psychic-type like this one wasn't one of them. Then again, perhaps he nothing more than a simple visitor as he claimed. It might have been believable if Jet hadn't already linked the words to the newcomer. especially since the voice seemed to match perfectly.
Jet raised himself onto his hind feet and glared at the Reuniclus. "Wh-what kind of fool do you take us for...?" he asked. "I heard everything you said from back there right after the alarm was cut off. I would have to be a moron not to notice that your voice and the one I just heard was one and the same. So tell me...." With that, he raised his paw and pointed accusingly at the Psychic-type. "What purpose do you have for wanting to trespass and break in and enter the Doctor's laboratory!?"

The smile that had started to form on Tanen's face at Jet's enthusiasm disappeared abruptly as the piercing sound of an alarm shot pain through his ears. He cursed loudly, the words lost in the sound. But, just as suddenly as it had started, it stopped. Tanen paused mid-swear and sighed in relief.
His relief did not last long. The next sound he heard was inside his head, and his blood turned to ice as he instantly recognized that chillingly calm voice. "No... No way," he muttered, eyes wide. He looked at Jet, the Buizel's face telling Tanen that his friend heard it too. Okay, he wasn't insane, then. His split-second fear that his second form had regained its original sentience was also quickly dispelled as a Reuniclus approached them with a deceptively cheerful greeting.
Tanen was glad to see that Jet wasn't fooled, but the fact that he was confronting the one that had caused them so much trouble so long ago scared the hell out of the Scizor. "J-Jet..." he stammered, not taking his eyes off of the Psychic-type. "That... I think that's him. It's the psycho-Furret, it's Fred."
Did this guy still have those crazy powers of his? Would he still be able to Volt Tackle and Hi Jump Kick and Whatever The F*** That Water Move Was them into oblivion? Tanen honestly didn't want to find out. He wanted nothing more than to run for it, though he knew that if they did get into a fight with Fred they'd have to finish it, one way or the other.

The Reuniclus was taken aback, in an effort to keep his guise up for as long as possible. "I beg your pardon?" he asked, in a tone that sounded remarkably like poorly-acted confusion. "I didn't say anythi--..." "Oh. They can hear my thoughts." The inner voice had returned with excellent timing, confirming that it indeed had belonged to the Reuniclus. "The Creator really could have picked a better form to give to someone who isn't used to having telepathy." Upon thinking it, the Reuniclus clasped his hands together nervously. "Drat, now I've gone and told them who I work for. He could have at least told me how to turn it off. Now I can't even think without giving everything away. Maybe the Creator really doesn't have confidence in me after all, and he's just putting me through this for a laugh. If I could feel emotion, I would be extremely upset by now."
By this point, he wasn't surprised in the slightest that the Scizor had managed to identify him even before his inner, now outer rant. Fred glared at his two rivals blankly. "Well, let it not be said that I didn't at least try to fulfill the Creator's wishes. I suppose you'll want to stop me, so I'll be taking you out before you get in the way this time."
Without further warning, he slid backwards to distance himself from the both of them, and held out one of his large, gelatinous hands. A yellow, sparking ball grew to size in front of it, promptly launching itself at Jet in a move befitting Fred's unconventionally potent repertoire: Zap Cannon.

Jet's eyes widened with fear as he heard Tanen's words. He lowered his arm and turned his head to look back at the Scizor. "H-he's...n-no way, that's...that's not possible! Y-you used that hammer on him, didn't you...!?" He then turned his gaze back to the Reuniclus...no, Fred. He could never forget the name of this individual. Come to think of it, the fact that he wasn't a Furret didn't denounce the idea. The form had been stolen...so then could he have had another form? But no...if that were the case, then wouldn't he have taken THAT form immediately?
Jet had concluded back then that Fred had been defeated for good. After all, it should have been impossible for him to disappear like that...even if he had used the move Teleport, they still should have seen him first. To his memory, there had been nothing obscuring his vision. And Tanen had taken the Furret form. That much had been proven without a doubt. Therefore, the Thief Hammer had been a successful attack. Every sign pointed to Fred being gone!
And yet, here he was. Jet took a fearful step backward, away from the Reuniclus Fred. Now that he thought about it, his memory returned to that fateful day, when he had first met Tanen and fought beside him. Jet had no doubt in his mind that this voice was identical. There was no way he could forget such a unique, emotionless voice. How could this be...!? How was it possible!? And why would he choose to return here and now, of all times!?
His questions were cut short, however, when he realized the Reuniclus was aiming some kind of attack at him. He quickly identified the move as Zap Cannon and knew that he had to avoid this at all costs. Not only was the move extremely powerful, but it was guaranteed to Paralyze its victim...and on top of that, it was an Electric-type attack, which was a very dangerous attack for a Water-type such as himself. Could he survive even a single blow from a move like that from such a powerful opponent? He didn't want to wait to find out....
Thankfully, Zap Cannon had a very fatal drawback. It was a slow move and was very difficult to hit with. As a Buizel, this was definitely something that he could take advantage of. After all, his species of Pokémon were very well known for their speed. He quickly formulated his plot and knew what to do. Water quickly began to form around his body and he quickly glanced back at Tanen. He already knew that the Scizor didn't want to fight. He didn't care if the Scizor wanted to run...he had no right to stop him. Not after that clearly slightly traumatic experience. But he couldn't allow Fred to break into the Lab and steal...whatever it was he was after. Especially not with Dr. Porygon still inside, who was sure to have become alerted to the alarm. He had an obligation to protect this lab to the best of his ability...even if it meant fighting an impossible battle.
"If you want to leave, then go. You've been more than enough help to us," Jet said to Tanen with a small smile. "I...I can try my best to take it from here." He tried to hide his feelings in his words, but it was difficult to hide the fear he was feeling. He knew the implications of his words...he knew that he stood no chance against Fred. But even so, he refused to just surrender and simply allow Dr. Porygon to come to harm. He had steeled his resolve.
With that, he launched himself forward using his signature Aqua Jet attack as the Zap Cannon was launched in his direction. He moved around the attack using the high speed that this move granted, and aimed at the Reuniclus' body like a Buizel bullet. Whether he struck or not, he attempted to end his attack on Fred's opposite side so that he could stand between him and the Lab. Hopefully, this would also distract Fred enough to allow Tanen enough time to start fleeing if he chose to.
"I...I'm not afraid of you!" he exclaimed, although his tone clearly betrayed his words and hinted at the fear that he did indeed feel.

Tanen's frown deepened at Jet's words. "I-I don't f***ing know how it's possible, but it is!" he snapped. Tanen could tell that his fear had rubbed off on Jet, and he instantly wished he hadn't mentioned Fred. Last thing they needed was for both of them to freeze up.
Luckily, It seemed that Jet was stronger than that. He dove straight into the battle, while Tanen remained frozen to the spot, torn. He wanted nothing more than to run, but he couldn't leave Jet alone like this. Ironically, Tanen felt less inclined to run after Jet encouraged him to. But Tanen knew he'd never forgive himself.
Finally making up his mind and shaking himself from his fearful hesitation, Tanen shifted to his Furret form and darted for the trees. Before he was quite out of range, however, he paused to use Helping Hand on Jet. Deciding to hide and support his friend indirectly, the Furret crossed the remaining distance to the woods and ducked behind the first tree he saw.
How had this happened? One moment, he and Jet had been cheerfully assisting Dr. Porygon in an exciting project, the atmosphere happy as could be; the next, an incredibly powerful enemy from their past who by all rights should have been dead showed up, terrible as ever. But Tanen wondered how it was even possible. The form he was currently using alone was proof enough of Fred's demise. Daring to peek around his tree at the ongoing fight, Tanen shuddered to think what the Furret-turned-Reuniclus could possibly have planned for them and the lab.

When Jet darted around the attack with relative ease, this did not appear to incite any sort of reaction from Fred. In fact, one might say he expected the Aqua Jet. As he waited the few seconds it would take for the move to execute, his head turned slightly towards Tanen, who donned his old form and escaped to safety. The tiniest spark of what might be considered envy could be seen in Fred's eyes. "Soon..." he found himself uttering.
His full attention shifted back to Jet, now mere feet away from him. Fred held up his left arm, forming a barrier out of energy between him and the Buizel. This quick Reflect would serve to soften the blow considerably. He drew his other arm back, balling his three fingers into a fist, and it began to glow a deeper shade of green, one that would be easily missed by the non-observant. Bracing himself, he slammed his fist upward into Jet with a Wood Hammer attack, just as the Aqua Jet collided.
Shrugging off the combined damage from the hindered Water-type attack and Wood Hammer's recoil, Fred immediately set his sights on where Tanen had fled. Ignoring any further retaliation from Jet, he charged in the direction of the tree that served as the only obstacle between the two of them. Emotion or not, it was clear that the Reuniclus had revenge on his mind.

As Jet lunged toward the Reuniclus using his Aqua Jet, he came to the realization that he had foolishly forgotten to consider that Fred might have a reaction to that. Especially given the fact that it had been clearly proven that he still possessed his unnatural ability to use moves that would normally not even be possible for his species to learn. He virtually had every move ever known at his disposal...if not literally. To expect his somewhat reckless attack to go smoothly was foolhardy, he realized in retrospect. Unfortunately, it was far too late to call off his attack now. He watched as the Psychic Pokémon put up a Reflect as he approached...this wasn't going to end well.
Jet collided with his opponent solidly enough. But he could feel about half of his power reflected away, causing the damage to be halved. And unfortunately for him, that wasn't the end of Fred's counter. He had seen the Reuniclus' fist get balled up and glow slightly...and while there were a few possibilities for what that attack might have been, Jet's best guess was the correct one. He easily fell victim to the Wood Hammer attack, with Fred's fist colliding with the bottom of his jaw in a clean and powerful uppercut.
"AGH...!" he cried out in pain as he was launched straight out of his Aqua Jet and into the air. He seemed to simply hang in the air for a few moments before his back slammed into the ground with a loud thud. He whimpered to himself slightly from the pain caused by the powerful, super effective move.... Thankfully, Fred didn't get a type boost from the move, and Reuniclus weren't very adept at physical moves like that. As a result, he was able to roll over and push himself onto his hands and knees, shaking his head to clear his vision.
It was then that Jet suddenly felt a strange power boost...like something had made him slightly stronger out of nowhere. But it didn't take Jet long to work out what had happened to cause it. He looked up just in time to see that Tanen was nowhere in sight...but that Fred was making his way toward one of the nearby trees. Upon closer inspection, Jet saw a Furret peeking out from behind the tree. So, Tanen had tried to hide himself? Well, whatever the case, he couldn't let Fred get to him like that! He had to use the power boost from Tanen while it was still in effect...but any physical attacks would be halved in its damage output, thanks to Fred's Reflect, which would ultimately cancel out the boost he had received. A special move was needed here. In which case...what better time to try out THAT move...?
Jet clutched the grass beneath him and readied himself. He had never done this before. It was a move that he had been practicing by himself over the last few weeks. He hadn't quite perfected it yet, and hopefully his own physical limitations wouldn't disappoint. But he needed this to work. And he needed it before Fred got too far away. He quickly climbed back to his feet and pulled his head and puffed out his chest, a posture he had practiced quite a few times now. Suddenly, he thrust his head forward and opened his mouth, unleashing a surprisingly powerful torrent of spiraling water...his somewhat recently learned, Helping Hand-boosted Hydro Pump!

Oh, that did not look good. Tanen ducked back behind his tree, breathing hard. Despite Fred's lack of emotion, he had a bad feeling that the Reuniclus was out for revenge on the one who stole his form.
He took another quick glance around the tree and noticed Jet gearing up for what could be a very powerful attack. That pose could only mean Hydro Pump. But that move wasn't 100% accurate and with between Jet's inexperience with the move and Fred's... Fred-ness, Tanen didn't like the odds.
The Furret took a deep breath and actually found himself strangely calm. "Okay, motherf***er," he muttered under his breath. "If it's a fight you want..." he continued, now loud enough for the Reuniclus to hear. He shifted to his Scizor form and leapt from behind the tree, aiming to meet the incoming Psychic-type with a Bullet Punch and hopefully distract him from Jet. "Then come and get it!!!"

Fred's charge halted as he saw the Scizor emerge from his hiding place. He made no attempt to avoid the Bullet Punch attack, whether he saw it coming or not, though it would not have mattered either way. The meager blow did not so much as faze the Reuniclus. "You're making this too easy for me..." echoed Fred as he retaliated with a thin shot of electricity from the palm of his hand. The Thunder Wave would do no damage on its own, but Fred had an especially sinister plan in mind to make up for that.
The gushing sound of a torrent of powerful water came from behind him, marking his cue to act. With Tanen likely paralyzed and unable to escape, Fred then grabbed him with both hands, leap-frogging over his shoulders and holding him in place. His Psychic-boosted physical strength would ensure that his improvised shield could not so much as budge while the boosted Hydro Pump headed straight for him.
Meanwhile, with a resounding slam, the front door to the lab burst open. In the doorway stood a bemused Dr. Porygon, alerted by his own short-lived alarm. "Is everything all--" he started, but cut off as he registered the scene in front of him. A strange Reuniclus had apparently engaged in battle with Jet and Tanen. "Good heavens!" he exclaimed. "Just what is going on out here?!" He did not seem to recognize the Reuniclus, implying that he had not heard his thoughts from trying to break into his lab earlier either.

Jet's eyes widened with both surprise and fear as he watched Tanen emerge from behind the tree, once again in his Scizor form. Now his friend was directly in the line of fire of his Hydro Pump! If his attack missed, which he had considered to be one of the more likely possibilities, Tanen would be right there to take the attack...! When he came to this realization, the Buizel stopped his attack immediately and shouted, "T-TANEN, WAIT...!" as loudly as he could, desperately trying to reach the Scizor before it was too late.
Unfortunately for the both of them, it had been far too late. Due to the speed of Bullet Punch, Tanen had been upon Fred before he had even finished shouting the last part of his warning. He could do nothing but stand and stare in shock as Fred not only took the Bullet Punch as though it were nothing...but quickly followed it up with a Thunder Wave, possibly paralyzing his friend where he stood. Followed by that, the Reuniclus hopped over Tanen and put HIM in the direct line of fire instead of himself!
"T-TANEN, MOVE...!" Jet cried out desperately. He considered rushing forward with an Agility and Aqua Jet combination and trying to throw Tanen out of the way...but even with that speed, there was no way he could out-run his Hydro Pump which had already covered the majority of the distance. Heck, it probably wouldn't have been enough even to have used it three times by now. He could do nothing but stand there and watch the aftermath of his surprisingly strong Hydro Pump attack...which rushed directly at Tanen's chest.
But that wasn't the last of it. Jet's attention was quickly drawn to the slamming of the lab's front door. "D-Doctor...!" Jet exclaimed, looking back. "P-please, get back inside, now! Th-this guy wants something from you...! He's the same guy that we had to fight all that time ago to get back your Thief Hammer! J-just please, leave this to me and get back inside!" He surprised himself at his own outburst. However, he had a powerful urge to protect not only Dr. Porygon's laboratory...but also the good Doctor himself. He didn't want Dr. Porygon to get caught in the cross-fire.
Jet looked back across the clearing to look at the aftermath of his attack. He didn't have any of the weapons he had had on him back during the first fight; no bombs to weaken him this time. He scowled and his teeth clenched. Even if he had no chance of winning...he had to at least try. He couldn't allow Dr. Porygon to fall victim to this emotionless monster...!

Bullet Punch made satisfyingly solid contact, sending a surge of confidence through Tanen's mind. The feeling drained instantly, however, as he saw that his attack had affected Fred about as much as using Tackle on a Gastly. The line of telepathic thought that creeped into his head made him shudder as he realized that the Reuniclus was hardly even trying. Tanen was about to leap away when a light jolt of electricity hit him and caused him to seize up.
'Oh sh*t, there is no way this isn't gonna suck,' thought Tanen. Sure enough, Fred wasted no time in confirming Tanen's fears, placing the now-helpless Scizor directly in the line of fire of his own friend's attack. "Oh, F**K!" he cried, struggling uselessly against the combination of Fred's vice grip and his own Paralysis.
He would have loved to have been able to follow Jet's advice to move, but that clearly wasn't happening. But maybe, there could be just enough time to do something. Winds started swirling around the Scizor and the Reuniclus, the start of the one move that Tanen could use from his current position. The question was whether he could maintain his focus.
Hydro Pump hit like a ton of bricks, the force throwing Tanen back into Fred and out of the Reuniclus' grip. The Scizor hit the ground hard, rolling to a stop as the momentum continued to carry him. He groaned and tried to get up, but was heavily hindered by that goddamn status affliction. He settled for turning his head to face his enemy, and was pleased to see that the wind was still picking up speed. Perhaps even enough. With a wave of his claw, he sent the charged Razor Wind spiraling toward the Reuniclus, hoping to at least get some counter-attack in. As he released the attack, Tanen was finally able to make his way back to his feet and raise his claws defensively. If he was going to die, he was going to die on his feet, dammit.

Fred made sure to hold onto Tanen as long as he could, so that the Hydro Pump would have maximum impact on him. As he did so, he felt some wind pick up around the two of them, alerting Fred to Tanen's next course of action. The force of the stream eventually wrenched the Scizor out of his grip, causing the Reuniclus himself to take a fraction of the damage.
He righted himself just in time to react to the oncoming Razor Wind attack. Bending over slightly, he began to focus, coating his body in a bright, reflective surface. He allowed himself to take the attack in full, but his Mirror Coat reflected the cutting winds back at Tanen with double velocity. When the coat faded, Fred still had yet to sustain any visible damage, though his slightly crooked stance indicated he had felt something.
This did not stop him from following up on his counter, however. Holding out both of his hands, they began to turn red with heat until a massive, star-shaped fireball burst forth from it, headed straight for Tanen. "Yes, this should do the trick..." thought Fred as the projectile scorched a path in the grass towards his target. While this was going on, he reached behind himself and produced a long, green instrument out of seemingly nowhere. However he got hold of one, the Reuniclus was readying a Thief Hammer, presumably as a finishing blow when the Fire Blast connected...
Jet's explanation, coupled with the ongoing fight in front of him, set off a spark of worry in the doctor's eyes. "Oh dear oh dear," Dr. Porygon muttered repeatedly, shaking his head. "I knew they'd be back, but I didn't know they'd be back this soon... but I guess it's finally time!" He started to retreat into the lab in a hurry, but he stopped short, hastily turning around long enough to shout something else. "Jet, you might want to stand a few paces to your left! Don't be alarmed, just try to hold out for a minute longer!" As he finished, he turned again and disappeared into the lab, not even bothering to close the door behind him.
Not a moment later, a slight rumble escaped from the depths of the earth. Then another, much stronger one. Then a third, continuous quake as the ground underneath the Buizel began to slowly give way. The ground in a wide radius began to split in half, forming two perfect semi-circle doors made of dirt and grass which receded underneath the ground next to it. It was the beginning of what seemed to be a long process; the diameter of the aperture spanned a good fifty feet or so in front of the lab.

Jet watched as Tanen was hurt by not only his own Hydro Pump, but also further by Fred's countering attacks. "TANEN!!" he called out desperately as he watched the Scizor get taken down. This was not going well...not that he had expected otherwise, but the situation was just steadily getting worse. Not only were they not doing any real visible damage, but Fred's attacks were brutally powerful, and they were just being completely punished by the Reuniclus. There had to be something they could do...anything at all! But just what!?
He glanced back at Dr. Porygon again as the scientist began to speak. What he had to say made him wonder what he meant...but he didn't have much time to think when suddenly the ground below his feet began to tremble. "Wh-what...?" he mumbled to himself. But before he could worry more, he caught something, a motion from across the field. His eyes widened as he saw Fred put his hands out and they started to glow. He had no time...he didn't like the look of that...and it was undoubtedly going to be shot right at Tanen!
Jet mustered up all of his strength and gathered water around him. He then launched himself forward like a bullet in another Aqua Jet attack. However, where was he aiming? As far as he was concerned, he had two options: First was to attack Fred, who was now pulling out what looked to be a Thief Hammer. However, he didn't see this as the better option, since not only did he have his doubts that he would be able to even remotely damage the Reuniclus, but he might in fact even be countered with the Thief Hammer...and he didn't want to imagine the possibilities for that one. So then that just left one other option....
He rushed forward, aiming for Tanen to the best of his ability. He couldn't afford to waste another moment of time and needed to get there as quickly as he could if he was going to do this. He gulped and mentally prepared himself...before doubling his Aqua Jet's speed with Agility. There was one, simple objective to Jet's second option...protect Tanen to the best of his ability. Apart from not wanting one of his very few close friends to get hurt by such a powerful, super effective attack...he was the stronger one of the two of them. If Tanen went down, his only hope would diminish as well.
Thankfully, Jet was able to arrive just in time. He stopped just short of Tanen and stumbled the rest of the distance to stand in front of Tanen. He normally would have tried to at least weaken the attack with another of his water moves...but he didn't have the time, nor the energy to muster up another Hydro Pump so soon. And a Water Gun would have been laughably ineffectual anyway, even if he had the time to prepare it. So instead, he just stood there and tried to block the attack. He reached his paws out, trying to ignore the shaking ground which threatened to throw his footing, and tried to stop the flames from getting behind him; trying to shield Tanen to the best of his ability.
Thankfully, he was a Water-type Pokémon, so the attack wasn't as bad as it could have been...but even so, he felt the power behind the attack. He let out a loud, clear cry of pain as the fire star collided with his body from the side of his face to his legs. Finally, in a moment that felt like an eternity, the attack was complete and Jet was blown backward, landing hard on his back, with his head just short of Tanen's feet. The side of his face and a large portion of his chest and stomach showed clear signs of a bad Burn as well.
"T-Tanen, are...you alright...?" Jet mumbled, looking up at the Scizor above him. He wasn't in bad condition...but he was certainly not wanting to stand back up immediately. He showed the Scizor a small, sad smile. "I hoped I could actually be useful to you this way...."
