Three annual pokemon battle tournaments bring trainers and spectators alike from all over the world to one place. These three tournaments are known as the ALC. The Annual Legend Cups. These three tournaments are the Raikou Cup, Entei Cup, and Suicune Cup. What sets these tourneys apart from others? Each cup has its own special rules. These rules aren't just your average level restrictions, double battles, etc. These rule changes will make you completely re-think all your strategies.
Raikou Cup: A tourney that is as unpredictable as Raikou's electricity. Each trainer is given 6 randomly generated pokemon with no TM/HM moves. Before battle, each trainer picks 3 out of their six rental pokemon to enter battle with. Luck will be required as well as the flexibility to adapt to conquor any disadvantages you may come across.
Entei Cup: This is a survival tournament with the fury of Entei's heated blaze. Each trainer enters with all six of their pokemon and use all their pokemon in battle. The catch: If a pokemon faints, it cannot be used for the rest of the tourney. Pokemon are healed between battles, but if the pokemon faints, it will not be revived until the tourney is over. Nuzlocke champions fit perfectly in this category. You must swap your pokemon and choose your moves wisely to win this tournament.
Suicune Cup: A tourney whose tides will change as swiftly as Suicune's movement. Each trainer enters with all six pokemon, however, before battle they may analize their opponent's pokemon and must pick ONE pokemon out of the six. Pokemon with good coverage are required to win this battle.
Although each of these tourneys have unique rules, basic rules apply to each of them.
• Pokemon CANNOT HOLD ITEMS! This rule is only here to keep the tournaments from getting too complicated.
• Overused Wi-Fi tactics aren't allowed. Let's try and kerp things noob-friendly as much as possible.
• Items are not allowed to be used. Let's face it, nobody wants to watch a battle for five hours of max potions and full heals.
• Legendary pokemon are not allowed REGARDLESS OF WHETHER IT'S UBER OR NOT. Legends are supposed to be one-of-a-kind. People don't just carry a Heatran in their back pocket.
• For simplicity purposes, Uber pokemon are not allowed, but Uber tactics such as Toxic, Protect, and Detect are not allowed. Smeargle is allowed, but it CANNOT be used for uber purposes.
• Moves such as Explosion and Self-Destruct can't be used by your final pokemon. Draws are a pain.
• If your final pokemon defeats your opponent's final pokemon with a move such as Take Down, then faints due to recoil, you still win. In the Entei Cup, it is treated as though it never fainted.
• Pokemon have acess to their ENTIRE MOVE POOL, however, the ly can only use up to four different TM/HM moves and ONE egg move.
• One character can join multiple tourneys.
• You may enter up to two different characters in one tournament. However, you may enter different characters in other tourneys. For example: You can enter Character 1 and Character 2 in the Entei cup, then you may enter character 3 and 4 into the Suicune cup.
Post your characters and their parties in the RP Notepad. All that is important is name, appearance, and polemon. Feel free to enter anything extra and you may also feel free to use uour DN2 characters as humans. Just be sure to include the tournamen(s) you want to enter with that character!
Hopefully we can all have fun in these tournaments!
