Name: Haru Iruno
Nickname: N/A
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Starter: Riolu
Initial Power: 70
Initial Wealth: ¶160
Appearance: Haru appears to be an average Riolu, except for the fact that he wears a black wristband on his right arm. It has a strange emblem that resembles a flame, but it’s green.
Personality: Haru is a strong, confident person. But he might take things a bit too seriously and he picks fights whenever he can. He loves to fight above all else, and that’s how he usually solves his problems. But when he gets close to something or someone, he protects it with all his might, no matter the risk of his own injury.
Nature: Ruthless, Hasty
Biography: He grew up in the Kanto region in the world of Pokemon. But he never left on a Pokemon Journey. Instead, he hung around the Fighting Dojo of his home city of Saffron. He had been given his first pokemon while he was there, and he trained with that Riolu ever since he was a young boy. He soon was the strongest Trainer in the Dojo. He even surpassed the Dojo master. Although he never learned to fight, he enjoyed battles above all else. But he soon was convinced by the Dojo master to leave and train harder with those that could challenge him. Perhaps starting with the Saffron Gym.
But just how had he ended up at the Dojo? He had been born in Saffron, but shortly afterwards, his father left him and his mother. The father couldn’t stand the thought of not being able to properly support his son or pull his own weight around the house, so he left to find a way. However, that left his mother to work alone with him.... And soon, she discovered that she couldn’t afford to live by herself and a young boy. So, when Haru turned seven, he found himself adopted by the Dojo master. Ever since, he had trained hard, although his true past has always been kept hidden from him.
The only person he remembered ever being truly close to was a sister. An older sister had always taken good care of him, until she passed away due to disease. Because of this loss, he vowed that he would always protect anything he held dear...including her sister’s wristband, which he has never taken off ever since she passed away.
However, one day, he found himself out, exploring the lands surrounding Saffron. He had no idea that he was about to encounter something that would forever change his life.
------------
“Ugh….” He groaned, sitting down to rest, Riolu at his side. He had been walking all day. Although it was only noon, he had been walking for a few hours straight. But there didn’t seem to be anything out here today. Strange, as there was normally wild Pokemon all around. Or even the occasional Trainer he could fight. But nothing was there, and he was groaning about it.
“Riolu,” he muttered, looking at his Pokemon that was still standing, looking at him sternly. “Why are we out here? I mean, it’s not like there’s anything here that can challenge us. I wonder…if we’ll ever be able to leave this place someday. Maybe go out on my own journey like so many of those passing Trainers….”
Riolu looked at him, unresponding. Not that Haru had expected one. That was just what Riolu was like and that was why he liked him so much. He was a Pokemon that he could talk to and get everything off of his chest. But he had only been sitting there for a couple moments when he heard a voice. He didn’t recall ever hearing it before, but there was no mistakening that the voice was talking to him.
“Come…come…enjoy the journey of a lifetime….”
The voice seemed to understand his very person. His every thought and desire. It was very…comforting. But…Riolu didn’t seem to notice anything. Haru stood and looked around. He moved forward, telling Riolu to wait there. Riolu was hesitant, but he obeyed his Trainer’s command. With that, Haru followed the voice as it continued to call out to him. Soon, he gasped in surprise when he saw a large, blue and black swirling vortex. How could he have not seen or heard this a minute ago?
Then, the voice continued. “Step in…the adventure of a lifetime awaits….”
As if his body refused to obey a single command his brain gave it, he started forward without his consent and soon passed through the portal. But where did this portal take him? And what dangers and adventures awaited him beyond the portal?
