Welcome to Dimension Number 2! While lenience and flexibility is one of our proudest points, we just wouldn't be a roleplaying site without rules. So, for the convenience of yourself and others, please take a moment to go over each one. (Don't worry, we won't pull a quiz or a secret password on you or anything like that; you're [probably] human, we trust you. :L)
SITE RULES:
1. Be respectful. Your peers are just as human as you are; no need to poke at them for such arbitrary differences as religion, sex, race, and so on.
2. No roughhousing. If you must start a debate, try to keep it civil and organized. If the flames get out of hand, or one is deliberately trolling, all parties involved may be reprimanded.
3. Keep it fresh. This is a PG-13 site. Minor swearing is ok, both in-character and out, but excessive amounts of it is forbidden, and definitely no posting of mature content in the form of text, links, or pictures.
4. No spam. This includes double posting, necroposting (aka stay away from topics over a month old unless you have something truly relevant to say), advertisements anywhere but the proper subforum, off-topic posts, and posts with no real content whatsoever.
5. Be yourself. Anyone caught trying to impersonate staff or even another regular member will be punished. If you must go by a different name for anything, and people are mistaking you for someone else, please make it clear who you are.
6. Be human. We've had ridiculous follies with bots in the past. As such, we have a zero-tolerance policy regarding automated accounts. If an account is suspected of being a bot, it will receive a PM containing simple instructions that any human could follow. If no response is received, then the account will be deleted without further warning.
ROLEPLAYING RULES:
1. Respect reality. Remember that you control only your characters' actions and thoughts. Everything else is under the mod's control. Note that you retain the ability to control the outcomes of things that happen to your character (such as attacks) but be realistic.
2. Post meaningfully. We ask that your posts contain at least one paragraph, not counting OOC. If you don't have much to say or do in a post, just add in some flavor text in the form of observations, thoughts, motives, anything. We don't mind, as long as it's readable.
3. Try to type legibly. Don't be afraid to correct a spelling or grammar error if you see one. We all make mistakes, that's why there's an edit button. Don't stress over it though, we'll only enforce this rule if the mistakes start to distract from the actual content of the post.
4. Color within the lines. You cannot post in another person's thread without permission from both the owner of the thread and a mod. You also can only have one solo thread at one time (with possible exceptions). Other than that, you can participate in as many joint threads as you wish.
5. Follow all common roleplay rules. This includes, but is not limited to: No Godmodding/Powerplaying, no double posting (except when necessary), no cheating the system or intentionally abusing some kind of loophole (if you discover such a thing, contact a member of Staff and they will get it sorted out in some way). Note that Godmodding and Powerplaying will earn you a visit from our...Human Resources "manager", Trank. Trust me...you won't want that for your character. It spells nothing but bad.
