Name: Janice Hebel
Nickname: Janice
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Starter: Vulpix
Starting Power: 40
Starting Money: 340
Appearance: Janice never goes anywhere without wearing a necklace around her neck. She loves the necklace so much because it's the biggest reminder of her younger sister who she held very dear. It is a bright silver necklace with a light blue jewel in the front. As a human, she had tan skin, brown eyes, and naturally wavy dark brown hair that fell down to just below her shoulders. She usually wore a white and light blue jacket, usually zipped up. She wore the jacket all the time, even when it was hot outside because she liked the way it looked on her. She often wore light blue jeans and white tennis shoes. As a Vulpix, the only thing that she kept was the necklace, her skin tone and her hair color.
Personality: Janice always tries her best to help out people in need, but she usually just freezes up in dangerous or scary situations. She hates that about herself especially after it causes the death of her little sister and nearly her own. She hates to see people cry and especially hates when she cries herself. She can't stand people who are unnecessarily selfish. The only thing she hates more are sexist people. If you even mention the world "Woman" and "kitchen" without the word "not" in between, you can get ready for a powerful slap. Janice is not a girl you want to see angry. Thankfully, she doesn't get angry as easily as she gets upset. Although she gladly helps out others, she can't do the same for herself. She's very insecure about herself, especially when she "chickens out" of something serious.
Janice always loved talking with her friends and family. Her favorite thing to do with her friends was to have pokemon battles with them.
Nature: Thoughtful, Insecure
Biography: Janice has always been the person to come to for support. She was the first person her friends would come to if they were feeling down. Unfortunately, she always froze up when coming face to face with a dangerous task. It sometimes lead to dire consequences. She loved pokemon battles as long as it was just for fun. She had one pokemon in particular that everyone was always jealous of, and she could see why. It was a shiny Espeon. Janice herself loved the Espeon's glowing emerald-green color fur that sparkled every time the majestic creature came from its pokeball. She named the pokemon "Jade" after its unique color.
Unfortunately, the beautiful pokemon didn't only attract positive attention. As rare as Shiny pokemon where, people would do anything in their power to get their hands on one. The Psychic type led to a dangerous turning point in Janice's life. A sinister man saw Jade in a battle and took note of where her home was. The man snuck into Janice's house and found his way to her room. He grabbed the Eevolution's pokeball silently. Janice was a deep sleeper, so she didn't wake at the time, but the same could not be said of her sister, Alice who was a curious 7-year old girl. Alice awoke to the door creaking. She got out of bed and wondered into the living room, nervously where she saw the man. Alice let out a loud scream alerting Janice. Upon hearing this, the man quickly called out his Scizor and ordered it to kill.
As Janice made her way into the room, pokemon at the ready, she froze in fear at the sight of her sister being held by the throat and her blood dripping onto the floor. Janice was paralyzed in shock and couldn't throw the pokeball no matter what she told herself to do. Unfortunately, their parents worked late that night so they could not come to help either. After realizing this, the Scizor stopped delaying and killed poor Alice in front of Janice's eyes. Janice had never seen anything so horrifying, even on TV. She loved her sister more than she did herself. The man decided there was no time to spare before any more witnesses arrived and he called the Scizor back into its pokeball and fled.
The next day, Janice sat on a bench in the park and started to cry. How could anyone do such a terrible thing to such an innocent little girl? Why didn't she save her sister? It wasn't long before she heard a mysterious voice echo. "It's such a shame. Your sister met a terrible fate." Janice jumped up, startled and looked around. Strangely, nobody seemed to acknowledge the voice. Soon, it picked up again.
